no phone-in yesterday, but the birch and some no recognisable chaps discussing who they thought were the best em 11, never argued against so much, so heres mine.

its about who you seen play for any em sides.

-----------------shilton

kaamark--walker--walsh--pearce

--lynex--macalister-izzet--johnson

-----------joachim----kitson

wallington gave shilts a run, but shilts was trememndous for 3 em clubs.

didnt see enough of viv anderson, or any derby rb.

walker was immense, its his performances for notts fo that got him an england place.

lynex was the hug the touchline master, what he didnt know about beating a man, getting to the by-line and getting the ball accross, just wasn't worth knowing. how city could do with brilliance like he had.

cant remember much about derby midfielders, and it wasn't until keane left for manyoo that he became great, and i didnt see him play much at notts fo.

tommy johnson was terrific for derby and notts co, yes we hated him, but he was very good.

so why didnt i pick lineker? simple fact is, i saw better performances from the above 2 in a em shirt, simple as.

Ultra, im surprised you seen gemmil play better than macalister or izzet? macfarland or todd ahead of walsh?

its about what you've seen them do in an em shirt, not so much how good they were for any or all their clubs by statistics.

i saw joachim score some wonder goals against barnsley and millwall, claridge for instance scored crucial goals, but not great goals, only historic lcfc goals.

i saw kitson do fairly well for city, scored some decent goals, seen him do even better at derby.

i saw collymore score and play well for forest and city, but not much, so not a serious contender.
