The last witchetty grub has been forced down a reluctant throat, the final cardboard star has been wrenched from a pit of stinking fish guts, the rats are back in their cage and those hideous khaki outfits can now be put in the washing machine. Tonight we discover who, out of the initial constellation of "stars", will relieve last year's Queen of the Jungle Carol Thatcher of her crown. Whoever triumphs, you can guarantee we'll see a lot more of them in the coming months - the offers of TV shows and pantomimes will be clogging up their email inboxes already. Of course, the real winner is ITV1, with up to 15 million people watching the final show last year.
