Even when we were passing the ball about at the start of the season, we still surrendered points.

But what do you expect? All our players were free transfers - You get what you pay for. Good defenders cost money, and we simply didn't have that.

It's all about quality at the end of the day, and we didn't have that. There is not much more that Micky could have done with the funds at his disposal.

Players like Gillespie and Hignett proved they were Premiership players before, and Micky took a gamble on them hoping they would prove they were still up for it. Unfortunately, it didn't work. But who else could we have realistically brought in to the club? Our squad was so thin, it was vital we strengthened it.

but i also think micky should have stuck with a settled defence beacauce thathcer apart, all of them were about the same quality. he shoudl ahve chosen his 1st choice back 4 and stuck with it.

**unless the player playes really bad for 2 or so games, not just one.

Yes, we didn't really have a settled back 4, but to be honest, none of them were really good enough - The only time where we had a settled back 4 was when we went 6 games unbeaten, and conceded about 2 goals during that run. We had a back 4 of: Impey/Howey/Scimeca/Thatcher - Impey wasn't really a right back, Howey was a boozer and ruined his chances, and Scimeca wasn't dominant in the air. Now, that was our back 4 during the season, which was quite ironic really...

There is a massive divide between Leicester fans and I sit somewhere down the middle, almost on the fence. OOOI FENCESHAGGER

Anyway the fans that abuse Micky for eveyrthing he does do need to wake up and look at Micky's record as a manager and look at the shit he's faced, also look at the respect he receives from older players who have succeeded in the game. Adams has signed plenty of players who could easily of gone to other clubs as good as us, but Micky always convinces them to join us. Now I get angry that he seems to favour older players, but if they are good enough then age means bugger all. Players like Hignett, Pressman and Gemmill are and always will be nothing buys as they are old and crap. You need a blend of experience and youth, but you can always argue that experience counts for nothing if your not talented and also you can only get experience if you get the chance to play.

The problem I have with Adams is the fact he tried to piece together a team of misfits and went for the short term fix last season and it didn't work, the majority of these players have left the club after only a season. That puts us back to square one and he is dangerously going down that road this season, signing players at the end of their careers means they need replacing within a year or so. Having to replace and not add to your squad, also means you will have to recruit another mass amount of players which then raises the issue of the squad gelling and performing straight away. Since Adams has taken over Leicester fans haven't been able to build up a rapport with many of the players as they are either on short term contracts or have activated a stupid clause in their contract, which should never have been allowed to be included in the contract in the first place. So as a fan you get frustrated and when the team doesn't perform you have every right to question what's going on.

Also the fans that are constantly beating on about the academy have a very valid point too, just because Adams is the manager doesn't mean he is beyond criticism or does it mean every decision he makes is correct. It is a widely known fact that last season he wasn't prepared to risk any unproven players and after we got relegated he said he was going to piece together a young and vibrant team, which he hasn't entirely done. You could argue he has blatantly lied to the fans or he's had a change of mind, but why? We were second in the league in the under 17 academy leagues last season and in the top four in the under 19's. Now that doesn't mean these players are all good enough to play first team football, but as all footballers start off playing as youngsters in academy football and we have one of the better academy teams in the nation then it's highly unfair and wrong not to give some of these lads a chance. I'm sure Adams knows this, but he is too set in his ways on alot of things and I think he needs a few home truths.

As for the Benjamin/Wright debate, just because Benjamin once scored 20 goals in division three doesn't mean you can entirely rule Wright out. That is highly unfair, if you go on current form Tommy has scored more goals than that thick arsed twat this pre-season, so if you want to be so petty Wright looks to be the better player over the summer. Have a word, Benjamin has no natural talent. He's shown for plenty of years at Leicester he's not technically gifted, so why would he suddenly change. Where as Wrighty has hardly been given a chance, so he deserves as much of a chance as Ten Ton Trevor has. Wright has impressed me, he knows where the net is and is a different type of striker to anything we currently have.

We all have our opinions, but none of us can honestly say Adams is beyond criticism. There are some things he is doing wrong, otherwise we wouldn't be in the position we are in.
