Burleyfox Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Anyone remember a match (must have been a "friendly") - think it was 60's against the heathens from North of the border- I remember it vividly as probably the most frightening night I have had at a football match.I was on the popular side at Filbo' and it was obvious way before kick off that there was going to be trouble. There were literally hundreds of Rangers fans coming into the ground with their pockets stuffed with beer cans/bottles. Trouble started during the match and the police went into the crowd to "invite" one or two of the offenders to join them for a walk. Next thing all hell lets loose- with a rain of bottles coming over my head and the police exitting stage left. What a night!! Bring back any memories to anyone?
