lildave3 Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 ...were awesome. Just got back, and that was the best away day ever for me. From the bus ride, to the pub (which was crazily mental by the way) then getting to the ground and and feeling the amazing atmosphere. Then winning was amazing, what a day. Nice to meet all the people i met off here aswell, Fox63, SUAS, Wils
Leicester Lass Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 I agree, awesome atmosphere today, shame the stewards were so arsey though

Joe. Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Yeah it was quality. Like you say everything was fantastic. The pub even had "we're the right/left side etc" Everyone was giving everything at it
City Lad Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Well done lads - i could hear you on the radio
lildave3 Posted 10 February 2007 Author Posted 10 February 2007 I agree, awesome atmosphere today, shame the stewards were so arsey though They lightened up a bit, let us stand for almost all of the second half.

Leicester Lass Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Yeah it was quality. Like you say everything was fantastic. The pub even had "we're the right/left side etc" Everyone was giving everything at it That got unbelievably annoying after a while though!
Joe. Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 That got unbelievably annoying after a while though! Expect more of it at the home games soon...
Leicester Lass Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Expect more of it at the home games soon... It's alright, I probably won't be able to hear it. Shhh
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 I f**king hate that 'left side, right side' thing. It doesn't even mean anything! Yet another wanky song we've nicked off other clubs. Glad you had a good day out though. My Cobbler mate is coming to the Cov game now seeing as I went to Forest with him today, so we'd better put on a good show atmosphere-wise.

Yeah it's a shame those tits in Nottingham won today. Would have capped off the day if they'd have lost... <_<
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Yeah it's a shame those tits in Nottingham won today. Would have capped off the day if they'd have lost... <_< To be fair to Northampton they gave it a right good go today. I was proud of them. The two centre-backs are both under 21, one of whom signed last week and has played one game and the other signed yesterday. Might be slightly factually inaccurate as I haven't kept up with NTFC much lately but that's about the gist of it and they kept Dobie, Lester, Tyson, Holt and Agogo (all of whom played at some point in the match!) fairly quiet. Was a really solid effort and they could have snatched a draw but for a homer ref and bad defending from one set piece. Anyway, who cares? Leicester won a bloody game. Gareth McAuley
lcfc_jme Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Our fans today were absolutely brilliant. Pretty much non-stop singing from the pub until the end of the game - and quite loud as well if you're saying you could hear us on the radio! I think Ipswich are quite possibly the worst fans I have ever come across in my life. They were a shambles. Worse than Fulham.

I'll be uploading my picture and videos from today in a bit, i'm sure you can't wait
lcfc_jme Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Worse than us. They were only heard twice trying to sing songs - and they didn't even have the happy clappers we have!! You obviously didn't go QPR then. No I didn't. But I went today and they were the worst home fans I have come across.

I didn't think ipswich wre that bad with the atmosphere, when i last wen though they were standing behind the goal maybe different now. Anyway well done the blue army for the atmosphere today you must of spurred the leicester boys on.

There was little clapping heard from their lot either - the only time you heard them was in the second half when the referee was awarding literally everything to us!!

lcfc_jme Posted 10 February 2007 Posted 10 February 2007 Well that does sound poor, was there a lot of standing in the leicester end then mate. They were poor mate honestly. As for standing in the Leicester end, they were quite strict on it first half and didn't like it too much tbh. Though many of the fans towards the back still stood anyway!! Second half they lightened up and were less strict on it though which involved standing pretty much the whole second half.

lildave3 Posted 10 February 2007 Author Posted 10 February 2007 By the way, how funny was that Ian Marshall lookalike! And Chaz is a lesbian! What a chant that was.
