davieG Posted 16 February 2007 Share Posted 16 February 2007 Actim Ratings from OS McAuley's Actim Accolade Leicester City's Gareth McAuley recorded the second highest score of the week in The Actim Index - the Official Player Ratings of the Coca-Cola Championship. The 27-year-old defender recorded 53 Index points, 14 fewer than Kevin Maher, of Southend United, after his overall performance and two goals against Ipswich Town. McAuley, who is currently ranked 216th in the Index, has played in 20 of Leicester's 30 Championship matches this season, scoring two goals. Actim Stats reveal that he has contributed nine shots, 25 tackles, 47 clearances, 29 interceptions, six blocks, 72 passes, one dribble and two crosses in 1,683 minutes of football. The Foxes' highest-ranked player so far this season is Patrick Kisnorbo in 68th position overall. The Australian international defender has scored five goals and had 15 shots at goal. He has also made 48 tackles, 52 clearances, 53 interceptions, 13 blocks, 69 passes and eight crosses in 2,402 minutes of first team action. The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player's contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards. Two additional calculations, which take account of player assists and goalkeeper's clean sheets, have been added for the new season to increase the amount of variables a player is now measured by.
