Geo V Posted 2 March 2007 Posted 2 March 2007 Lucky sod. This dude is called Matt White and he is a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, a minor league team. He is described as a "journeyman" player which is hardly flattering who has only played 9 big league games in a 9 year career but here is where he gets rich! Three years ago he bought 50 acres of land from an elderly aunt who needed the money to pay for a nursing home for $50k. As he was clearing out the land he discovered stone ledges in the ground, prompting him to have the property surveyed. It is said to be worth over $2billion because that is the value of this stone that the land is covered in!! You lucky sod!!! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17386501/ http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2007/2/...3609.shtml?s=ic Time to drop the lad an email and convince him to follow Lerner, Hicks and Gillett into the wonderful world of football club ownership in England!
