lookwhaticando Posted 23 April 2007 Share Posted 23 April 2007 Mattock injury tonic Leicester City caretaker boss Nigel Worthington today confirmed that Joe Mattock's wrist injury was not as bad as first feared. The young defender had an x-ray on the injured area on Saturday night after he fell awkwardly in the 1-0 victory over Preston at Deepdale. And the results thankfully showed no long-term damage, meaning that Mattock should be fit and available to take a place in the squad to travel to Barnsley this weekend. Worthington said: "Joe was taken to hospital after the game and we got the results of the x-ray on Sunday morning. "The results showed no fracture, but he has ligament damage. In the scheme of things that is good news." Meanwhile, Worthington revealed that Matty Fryatt had picked up a knock in the win. He added: "Matty has got a slight groin problem, so we will have to see how he progresses over the week. "But apart from that it is as we were." Thankfully, Mattock should be fit to travel. *Phew*
Simi Posted 23 April 2007 Share Posted 23 April 2007 If Fryatt doesn't make it I'm sure he'll go with Horse ahead of Cadamarteri based on his subs.
Geo V Posted 23 April 2007 Share Posted 23 April 2007 It doesnt matter who is fit, the game will end up 0-0, even if we dont play a GK. Its a cert! Get your money on!
Joe. Posted 23 April 2007 Share Posted 23 April 2007 Maybe a first start for Cadders then? I like the sound of it...
Simi Posted 23 April 2007 Share Posted 23 April 2007 Maybe a first start for Cadders then? I like the sound of it... Sadly, I doubt it. When Cadamarteri has being used he's played wide and Horse has tended to be used as the striker to come of the bench.
