Rincewind Posted 1 May 2007 Posted 1 May 2007 Talking to some-one in the pub today and the Leicester beer Festival was mentioned. Word is the Leicester Branch of CAMRA needs a theme for next years event. This years was a bus theme on the glass. Basically they cocked up on ordering the glasses and were short. (500 pint 1500 half pint) So what I am asking is does anyone know of any anniverseries for Leicester/shire for 2008 be it 10 20 25 50 100 or whatever. They found out after this years event that it was also the aniversary of Radio Leicester (1st local radio station) and 40 years since Englebert Hump released Release Me. Does nothing for me but he was in England that week so would have been good publicity. And RL would have loved being featured. Jon Florence visited as a guest and they were struggling to find a Festival glass for him and his associates. I may Google but not sure where to start with the key words so any knowledge before would be helpful. Thanks.
