Davis James comes steaming off his line today to give away a peno after 6 mins and they score the peno. Not many keepers are mistake free thats for sure!

We always knew James was a liability at times... everybody knows it. James himself knows he's a disaster waiting to happen at times.

At least you know where you stand with James.

And at least he knows where to stand... ^_^

To be fair, most coaches goal keepers will tell you to stand a few yards off your line to give yourself a better chance of making a save.

What, the england game someone mis cued a cross and he was caught out, most goalkeepers who want to command their box would have been round about 2 yards out.

Yesterday, he was well psoitioned to save the shot I thought, the shot takes an unlucky deflection and loops over him, and then someone scores a quality over head kick right in the top corner.

I just wouldn't blaim him too much for them as I think a lot of goal keepers would have been in the same position.

Still, I agree in that he's probably not agile enough to be top quality goalkeeper for club and country, also I would pick James ahead of Robinson for England as he's looked quality the past season or two.

Maybe a few yards but not virtually on the penalty spot! Robinson was, as has been said, in no-man's land when both those shots came in... his positioning is atrocious and if he plays like that in the England qualifiers then we are, as has also been said, FOOKED!!!

Personally I would have James in goal cause he hasn't made that many mistakes since joining Pompey and looks very solid most of the time making some damn good saves... apart from that England really have a goalkeeping problem...
