It's no good blaming Martin Allen at all for the current predicament. Notwithstanding which players Mandaric foisted upon him, the ones Allen did bring in were the building blocks for his team building plans. Whether he would have succeeded or not is immaterial. The man was not given time to stamp his mark.

The fact is that Mandaric chose to dispose of him and the results are there for all to see. A squad as lopsided as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A team built by a commitee. Everything that has happened since Allen's removal can be laid at Mandaric's door.

Would be nice if the bloke actually acknowledged some of his cock-ups instead of keep playing the "pity" card.

I think you're sadly right with a lot of this, especially the quote in bold which sums up what went wrong in the summer. The very fact that we are sitting here trying to work out who signed or recommended whom between Allen, MacKay, Fuccillo, Mandaric, Megson, various other sources and scouts and god knows how many agents is pretty damning. The reports about Mandaric taking a back seat in January over the transfer targets are welcoming but I'm sceptical.

I was always pro-Mandaric but that was only as an alternative to what came before. Now he's here and he's raising our expectations, he deserves criticism just like everybody else. I'm still optimistic things will improve but we need to move on from the players we were playing last year.

Some of the Leicester fans don't deserve to see success and a winning team, mind you they probably wouldn't know it if it struck them blind in the face.

Yes, we fcuked up in the summer, everybody knows that but give it time and January so we can sort our playing staff out and a consistent team that will get results in this league.
