Simon Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 Maybe slightly mental...but lost one game. He only had 4. A slight conflict and he was gone...surely Mandaric would have been better to try and resolve the issue rather than just sack him. We would not have been relegated with Allen as manager. Correction. We wouldn't have been relegated if Megson had stayed... damn that hurts.
Darkzzz_ Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 Ferguson is not wrong, he would be off his head to come here.... Saying that though, i wouldn't want him here anyway!
Ultra Posted 31 May 2008 Posted 31 May 2008 allen was a total idiot. banging on about his 'working class roots in dagenham blah blah' who cares!!upset the internal status quo at the club as i am aware. was speaking to a coach from the club last summer and it was clear that before the season had even began he had upset everyone. it was the correct decision to get rid of him. i feel we would still be up if megson hadnt have left. i welcomed his appointment but felt he did the dirty on us! holloway blew it for himself and the rest of us. constant team changes. fine at first when he 1st came but he was still doing it at the end of the season. a man with too many options gone mad. rant over Allen was right to upset the status quo. A complacent, losing mentality had set in among the squad and persists to this day. However he let himself down badly over transfer dealings. The timing of his sacking was appalling, but the act itself eventually proved to be justified. Megson couldn't wait to get out of here, and engineered some bad results in order to be allowed to leave. He should never be forgiven for that, no matter what he may have done at Bolton.
