When it asks you to sync it to the itunes libary just click no and then you'll have to add the new songs manually

Go to My computer, and it will find your ipod, right click then go Explore, i think you have to right click then go into properties, and tick show hidden files, then it will bring up a folder thats been hidden, open that and their will be code or numbers (cant remember) in other folders, go into the other folders, open up a brand new itunes no library what so ever and drag the all the songs inside every folder into it, and it should put them onto your itunes library and keep them onto your ipod.

any probs pm me

That might not work if he has iTunes already installed.

Download iDump.

Thats downloads all songs off your iPod puts them on your computer, then you can put them on iTunes.

I don't know about the iTunes uploading back onto the computer but when I try to Sync my iPod after having deleted some songs off the iTunes list, it asks me if I want to put those songs back onto iTunes because it recognises that they aren't there... hope that it does that for you as well... that way, you could just get all your songs put back onto iTunes by Sync-ing.

I have a Mac though but I wouldn't have thought that it would be different on a PC...
