The Stig Posted 18 September 2008 Posted 18 September 2008 Seems like a sensible decsison, knows the club, knows the English game etc, perfect logic. Sky lose a pundit however.
Head Honcho Posted 18 September 2008 Posted 18 September 2008 Seems like a sensible decsison, knows the club, knows the English game etc, perfect logic. Sky lose a pundit however. How does knowing the club and the English game make him an adequate candidate as coach for a major European club? I don't know whose appointment this is but it's a poor one in my opinion. He's struggled to make any impact at club level as an assistant and tactically he's 10 years behind the times.
Uncle Albert Posted 18 September 2008 Posted 18 September 2008 Is a poor decision by Chelsea, I bet Wilkins cannot believe his luck. Should of got someone like Frank Lebeouf in or Desailly. Now Marcel, what a legend. I am glad Wilkins has got himself a job he is shite on SKY just David Platt to join him. They are the real letdowns on SKY's football.

Because Scolari commented in the week that Clarke was an imprortant link between him and the English game which he is still learning about. Wilkins will have a similar role I presume. If he was appointed as manager I'd disagree with the appointemnt but as a coach I think he'll do alright.
