dandannieldanok Posted 16 December 2008 Author Posted 16 December 2008 Christmas And New Year Trading - 15 December 2008Find out what's happening on Sportdaq over the holidays The Sportdaq Board wishes to announce that on Friday 19th December 2008 its members will be boarding their private jet and heading off to their ski lodge in Gstaad. They will return on Monday 5th January 2009. During that time, Sportdaq will be open for day-trading but press mentions will not be entered into the system. Those of you wishing to take a well-earned break from the 'daq over the Christmas period should do so from 19th December 2008 to 5th January 2009. The last win bonus before Christmas is on 17th Dec and will be paid on 18th Dec. The first win bonus in 2009 will be on 8th Jan and is listed on the site now in a provisional state. The last dividend payment before Christmas will be made on Thursday 18th December. There will be no dividend payment on Thursday 25th December 2008 or Thursday 1st January 2009. Press coverage measuring will be inputted from 5th January when the mentions for Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th January will be added. There will be a traders' choice vote beginning on Wednesday 17th December 2008 that will run until Friday 2nd January 2009 and the celebrity with the most number of votes will be added on Monday 5th January. The Sportdaq Board Pretty self-explanatory but basically the game will become dormant. I presume share prices and the market will still continue as normal, just without win bonuses and dividends. However, millionairing will still take place on Saturdays through Christmas so I suggest if you stay below £2m until dividends and win bonuses start up again in 2009.

Surely it's about time for some more win bonuses Dividends are active again from tonight until Thursday (as usual) and the first win bonus of the year is a golf one with a thursday deadline. Weekend win bonuses and a midweek one for next week should be added Wednesday and then that should signal the resumption of everything. As I'm personally just shy of £2m, I'll not be investing until Saturday.

I just keep putting all my money on Richard Hammond cos' he's cheap and has ok dividends, so no I wouldn't say I really take much notice of it. Sportdaq is much better and I'm not just saying that because I prefer sport to celebrities.

As all of you have noticed, Sportdaq appears to be suffering from a few errors within the system. Due to this, Sportdaq will be temporarily suspended as of end of play today, until the faults have been fixed. This means no win bonus or dividend payments will be made. We will notify you via a statement when game will be re-instated. The Board.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 January 2009 Author Posted 21 January 2009 Not surprised they shut it down for a bit, plenty of mistakes cropped up including no dividends last week, a win bonus payout on the losing team and Ricky Sbragia being sold out for ages when he was added.
