Floating Fox Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 The whole campaign is bollocks, and trying to wipe out passion from our game even more. Walshy would probably get sent off every week. Just look at the spurs match tonight. Yellow card for Babbel for disagreeing with the ref, all he did was show a little bit of passion. Yellow card for Torres for suggesting Pavyl should have been booked. Yellow card for Campbell for celebrating with the crowd and showing some passion. Hate it.
Ultra Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Akinbiyi was also booked for taking his shirt off in the Burnley-Chelsea game. It's a disgrace when celebrating a goal can be treated as harshly as a skull-smashing challenge. Until the FA sort that out, as far as many fans are concerned there won't be a "respect" campaign. Simple as.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Ref's in all sports are getting stricter and player are expected to be mutes on the feild in all sports. The worst is n AFL even if you accidentally bump in to a ref for instance while running to get the ball you come under scrutiny and more than likely get yourself a fine. What a joke
The Stig Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 I cannot stand players being booked for taking off their shirts and going in to the croud. It seems these daft celebration rules are trying to such the joy out of football.

In Germany the are encouraged to go into the crowd, Wolfsburgs main centre forward was celebrating with the Ultras, leading the chants, after his hatrick and their win over Cottbus on saturday (The odds on Wolfsburg to win were 2/7 so It pretty much a routine win too).
