I don't start work until next Wednesday but I won't be getting paid until the end of November so I'll be struggling for cash until then.

They pay you for the 2 weeks just gone right? I don't wanna get up at 8am if I don't have to

you can send in one of the little forms in your book where you enter your work details explaining you have a job, then put that you're signing off in advance so you could put it up to a day before your next signing on, howeverrrrrrrr, due to postal strikes you might want to just phone them up as they let you do the same thing over the phone
