FoxyPV Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 Just saw this on BBC sport. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/cardiff_city/8557188.stm It says that they are looking to sell lands to pay off the debt but what if this doesn't come off? Cardiff docked 10 points? Another point how do clubs get away with not paying tax?
C-man Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 They don't get away with it. Eventually they're wound up by HMRC but I'm guessing because they're part of the social fabric of the country, the tax man is a bit more lenient. Bit of a moral hazard dilemma really.
