...why do i keep getting these, the only thing i have ticked is for inline notifications for quotes, friends etc---

please make them stop.

I think Inline notifications are the small number that appears next to your picture in the top right.

Check if you have any tickboxes checked in the "Email" column here.

yeah the inline ones are fine, this is a 'daily digest' sent to my email.

the only thing i have ticked to do with emails is:

Send me any updates sent by the board administrator

Enabling this option will add your email address to the administrators mail list and you will receive any updates sent.

for some reason i had been subscribed to loads of threads, including ones i'd never even heard of...
