Walshy Praises Andy King

Steve Walsh praises Andy King's contribution against Leeds in his latest blog...

"I was a bit concerned at half-time but Sousa made a few changes and got it spot on tactically by bringing Andy King into the fray. Kingy replaced Moreno in midfield and his attacking instincts and eagerness to get into the box transformed City’s style of play. The move also brought the best out of Richie Wellens, who was crunching into tackles and orchestrating play in the second half after a more hesitant display in the opening period.

"Wellens took his goal well and it came at a crucial time in the game. City were just getting on top of Leeds and looking the better side. Bringing King on was an inspired move and the Wales international has developed into a top player in the past couple of seasons. He’s been likened to Muzzy Izzet and, if he keeps progressing like he has been, those comparisons may not be too far off the mark."
