Wycombe Fox Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 England v Hungary Live Stream To make the Play-Off Final and potential promotion to Div A, England need to beat Hungary by a big margin and then hope that Hungary beat France on Saturday by a small margin. Yesterday England lost 10-4 to France after some unbelievably bad refereeing decisions even to the point where the French passed the ball back to the England keeper such was their embarrassment at having been awarded a free-kick. Watch out for two players from my beach soccer team, WKR Santos - England captain, Sam Webb and Jamie O'Rourke. Also it will be shown live on Eurosport.

dandannieldanok Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Am I right in saying that England lost to Azerbaijan not too long ago? Or have I just imagined that.....it's quite possible I have.

They beat England 5-2 in a tournament in Holland recently. Azerbaijan are heavily funded by their football association and/or government whereas in this country, a private individual bought the franchise for the England team from the body that originally ran the game and ran the England team with sponsorship deals with for example, Tesco, Butlins and Nuts TV. Since it has become more popular, FIFA and UEFA have taken the sport under their wing as have football associations from other countries. The English FA are only just starting to get involved - this season they have allowed the team to use the 'three lions' badge and proper England kit and they have funded the travel to Portugal for the current tournament. I'm not entirely sure what the problem has been with getting the FA involved but I did hear a rumour that the franchise owner wanted too much money from the FA to transfer the franchise (allegedly!).
