Yesterday, at a junior track meeting, a 10 year old from Texas ran 25.03 for 200m! That’s just crazy and the fastest ever for that age.

A perfect tactical 800m race by Georgia Hunter-Bell at the Commonwealth Games. She’s one of the best racers in the world at the moment. Many athletes can run fast when they have pacemakers but if you want to win medals you have to be able to race and she can race!

I raced a 1500m at Stretford in the late 80s and there were a couple of kids with air rifles shooting at the athletes down the back straight. One of the runners took one in the thigh. They ran off over the fields but were caught and dealt with.
