DVD to hard drive

Does anyone know of any free software that allows me to put DVDs on to my hard drive. Want to put some on for my hols to keep the kids entertained

I can't remember which software I used to use for this job. I'd just google 'best free dvd ripper' into google and have a look for a good one. I seem to remember it takes a good while to rip one dvd though, it used to annoy me how slow it was.
