Clive Redman Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 Taken from his latest blog... "It was a terrific performance against the Premier League giants last weekend and the atmosphere at the ground was amazing. The players and the fans responded to each other and that made for one of the most thrilling games the Walkers Stadium has seen for years. "The lads put in a real shift and made it extremely hard for Roberto Mancini’s men to settle into any kind of rhythm. Richie Wellens was absolutely outstanding in midfield and he completely dominated the tempo of the game. Man City couldn’t live with his movement and vision, and he clearly got under the skin of both Carlos Tevez and Nigel De Jong as the game wore on. "What a debut Sol Bamba made! It doesn’t get any better then scoring with your first touch after 30 seconds. It was great to see the team posses a genuine aerial threat from deliveries into the box, and the Ivorian absolutely monstered the visitors defence any time the ball was in the air." MrSpaM Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 The replay at Eastlands is going to be a big ask for the lads, as I’m sure Mancini will have his players pumped up. I expect him to pick another strong team, which could even see recent signing, Edin Dzeko, make the starting line-up. The chance to play Man City away is a reward for the players’ efforts so far, and I’m sure they’ll give another good account of themselves on Tuesday. I thought Dzeko wasnt elligable to play in the replay?
MikeyT Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 I thought Dzeko wasnt elligable to play in the replay? He isn't allowed. He wasn't registered in the original game same as Yakubu for us.
tomtom Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 Has it been edited? He never mentions Dzeko in the piece I just read??
