samjohnson Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 As the title states, we all expect too much of our team. It's only natural. Like the boo-boysof last night - Primarily aimed at Ricardo. I'll admit for starters, I was one of them on here calling for his head on a stick. I'll also admit I had one too may lemonade-less shandys. From what we saw last season, we played football of a very high standard. We played as a team and played some entertaining football most of the time. The times we played crap and managed to scrape a draw or a 1-0 win, yes, were boring, but the fickleness of us all saw past it and thought we played fantastic because we had points from it. The Championship is stronger this season. We arent going to get away with scrappy perfomances, as we have all seen over the past few games. This is a hard part of the season, pointed out in the first few games as the front-runners were highlighted. So next game, can we have some more of backing the boys instead of destroying the morale of some fantastic players. Its players like King and Yakubu we need to keep, not slate them on here for them to (god forbid) log onto here and find what the fans think of them in a blind moment of pure rage and anger and the teams performance. I can honestly say, I can see us as champions of this league next season if we dont make the playoffs. We can still do it. Its not mathematically impossible yet. Blackpool defied the odds. Why cant a better team do that and repeat thier feat? COME ON LEICESTER!
