broughtonblue Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Just been thinking, with our defending in recent games being shocking, when was the last time we had the same back 5 playing in 3 consecutive matches? Has this coincided with the downturn in form? An established defensive unit must build confidence for the midfield to attack more, which in turn would support our forwards
Foxblogger Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 From Sheffield Utd (H) to Watford (A) the back 5 was Weale, Naughton, Hobbs, Davies, Cunningham. That was a run of 5 matches, the longest the back 5 has remained unchanged this season and the last time it went as many as 3 games without tinkering.
