The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 As mentioned previously my mate Adam Smith (aka Smiggy) is running from Ibstock to Filbert Way on Sunday in time for the game. He's due to leave the Co-op in Ibstock around 930am, and he's aiming to do the run in about 2.5 hours (lazy sod) It's a total of 13 miles I think. He got back from Afghan only this morning so hasn't had time to set up an internet donation site. He thinks he's on the pitch at half time with some other troops, and may be in the match program too. Anyway if you live local to ibstock, go down and see him leave and give your encouragement. Or if you see a lanky streak of pish staggering down filbert way around 12ish, give him your support to get over the line. It's a worthwhile cause, regardless of what you think of the recent wars. And don't forget to donate to the poppy appeal either! And lets get the minute silence right this time! (its after the last post which is not to be confused with our post horn gallop!)
