computingelite Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Hi all, I thought I'd give it a shot at posting this here. Basically I'm only 21 and have recently started my own business which is a PC repairs/IT solutions service. Everything is in place although the one and most important thing is missing - customers. I can't seem to find any and haven't had one customer yet since I've been going. I've registered in Yell and on various other sites and tried a text ad in the Leicester Mercury, unfortunately to no avail. I'm starting to realise (being quite business naive) that I'm going to have to pay for advertising quite heavily if I want to get noticed. It would hurt if I still got no customers though. Is it worth me doing this or do you know of any good ideas/ ways I could advertise my company. Many thanks for any help. Joel
Muz Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Make some flyers , hand them out or just give them to a local newsagents and they will slot them in the papers. I cant think of anymore ways of advertising
City Fan Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Local radio will probably be a good way of advertising but could be a little expensive........
Newcastle_Fox Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 The best advertisements are through word of mouth, try initially asking friends and family and hopefully making PCs for them. If you do a good job for them then they will recommend you to others. It will take a while at the start to get the business of the ground but if your prices are competitive and the after sales service is good then the orders will hopefully come flooding in.
