BruinFox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 An interesting post that, for me, brings back many emotions. 2004 was also the year of La Manga where the shine and mystique of modern day professional footballers was forever removed for me. The journeyman professional who couldn't care less about the club and it's supporters was there for all to see. It got worse after a couple of pathetic seasons in the championship we were ultimately relegated to the third tier. Then, from the ashes, we seemed to find an identity and belief from years of old - promotion and then playoffs. I was and remain proud of our club. We have some good players (maybe 6) and a manager that can instill the characteristics we want our players to represent In us. Me for one I am glad that we have another year to build a team that better represents our club.
