Update from OS including Sunderland ticket prices - Leicester City will conclude their preparations for the 2012/13 season against Premier League opposition this August, with Martin O'Neill's Sunderland set to visit King Power Stadium.

The Black Cats will travel to Filbert Way for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 11 August (kick-off 3pm) - one week before the Foxes begin their npower Championship campaign.

The game should provide the perfect finale to City's pre-season programme, with Sunderland, under the guidance of former Foxes manager O'Neill, boasting some outstanding Premier League talent.

With the likes of Republic of Ireland winger James McClean, Beninese sensation Stephane Sessegnon and England international Fraizer Campbell in their ranks, Black Cats fans will be optimistic that their side can mount a strong challenge in the top flight next season.

And as Nigel Pearson prepares his City squad for their own npower Championship challenge, there can be few better tests of their progress than a fixture against a firmly-established Premier League outfit.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson said: "To face a team of Sunderland's quality a week before the start of the league season is just the sort of test we are looking for, while the return of Martin O'Neill and his backroom staff, although not for the first time, adds a special dimension to the fixture.

"Sunderland have a squad full of Premier League quality and, as their season starts at the same time as ours, they will be at a very similar stage of their preparations. I'm sure both teams will be keen to perform at a high level and it should be an exciting game."
