The result doesn't really bother me - It's a case of integrating the new players in to a system Levein wants to adopt for next season.

Bothers me, it's the last game before a new season and if we go and and play badly and lose then it sets the tone for the new season IMHO.

Results early in preseason perhaps aren't important but the last couple of games are as we should have it just about right by then. I don't understand managers who say their players will get into the swing of it when the real stuff kicks-off. They should be more than ready come 3pm (or 12:45 in our case) on the first day of the season.

It's a fair point, but I take in to consideration a few factors. First of all it's not competitive - Players won't be giving 100%, it's a case of building up fitness and getting used to the way Levein wants to play. Secondly, they'll be a number of substitutions throughout the game.

Obviously losing 5-0 would bother me, but I won't be losing too much sleep if we were to lose by a one or two goal margin. Remember, we never used to have impressive pre season results under MON, and look what happened there.
