DION DUBLIN, Leicester City's striker, believes Bobo Baldé's frustration at his performance contributed to his leg-breaking tackle on Tuesday night.

The Celtic defender lunged at James Wesolowski, the 17-year-old midfielder who now needs a pin inserted into his right leg, during the 0-0 draw.

The Guinean and Stanislav Varga were given a torrid time by Dublin and Mark de Vries and Dublin said: "I think you get frustrated when things don't go your way and I don't think he [baldé] is used to playing against two strikers over six foot tall. "I'm 6ft 2ins and Mark is 6ft 4ins. It's a different game and you need to be able to change your gameplan."

The injury to Wesolowski cast a shadow over Celtic's second pre-season friendly. Alan Maybury, Leicester's former Hearts defender, hopes the youngster will recover quickly.

"James has gone in for a 50-50 and maybe doesn't know Bobo Baldé," said Maybury. "He's a competitive little player and the reason Steven Hughes didn't play against Celtic was that Jimbo smashed him in training."
