RANCID CARROTS FOUND DOWN BACK OF SOFA

Dog-year octogenarian Pete Smith found the cankerous veg as he slipped his hand through the gap in two lovely yellow pillows.

"It still had the poo stains on it from when I was riding it," said Mr Smith, "it was a good ride and all, I remember it well, I mean look at the thickness of the shaft down near the bottom, if it wasn't so mouldy I'd give it another go".

Mr Smith's wife, Janet, a baker, had been pegging her husband with an 11 inch strap on when he made the find.

"He was shouting, I could see that", "explained Mrs Smith, 20, "but the truth is we had Boyzone on top blast and the dog was barking like a right bitch. I couldn't hear a word Pete was saying. But I gathered he'd found something interesting. I was more worried about what the dog might do. He gets jealous when I peg Pete. It's usually him who gets the first go."

Katie Williams, from local charity Veg Is Best, was impressed by the find. "It's a fantastic carrot," she beamed, "I mean, look at the thicknesses of the shaft at the bottom. I'll be taking this back to our evidence room and giving it a thorough going over. To check its integrity, of course. Then we'll display it in our museum."
