Chris Wood kicks off international action among the Leicester City contingent on Wednesday, as one of five Foxes representing their respective nations this week.

Andy King, Liam Moore, Kasper Schmeichel and Sean St. Ledger have also reported for international duty ahead of matches later this week.

Chris Wood’s New Zealand tackle Mexico in Mexico City on Wednesday night (8.30pm GMT) in the first leg of their crucial World Cup Qualification play-off tie. The All Whites will be hoping for a positive result to take into the second leg in Wellington seven days later, as they look to reach their second successive World Cup Finals in Brazil next summer.

The action continues on Thursday, where young defender Liam Moore will be aiming to win his second cap for England Under-21s, who host Finland at stadiummk in Milton Keynes in their latest UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifier (7.45pm). The Barrow-born youngster has been in outstanding form for the Foxes this term, earning him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad, who also play San Marino at Shrewsbury Town’s Greenhous Meadow next week.

Friday night sees Kasper Schmeichel’s Denmark host a friendly against neighbours Norway (7pm), as they begin preparations for their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, having narrowly missed out on qualification for next summer’s World Cup. Kasper started the Danes’ most recent competitive match – a 6-0 victory over Malta in Copenhagen – and will be hoping to strengthen his claim to become his country’s No.1 in the next week.

Sean St. Ledger is in the Republic of Ireland squad that takes on Latvia in Dublin later on Friday night (7.45pm), in what will be the first game in charge of the Boys In Green for former Foxes manager Martin O’Neill.

And on Saturday evening, Andy King will be eager to continue his excellent start to the season with some match time for Wales, as Chris Coleman’s side host Finland in a friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium (6pm).
