Bluefoxtim Posted 19 August 2005 Posted 19 August 2005 Crewe are set to hand a debut to Spaniard Juan Ugarte as they take on Leicester this weekend. Ugarte has yet to feature for Crewe since joining in the summer, but the striker has been named in the squad and is expected to play some part. Luke Rodgers has been ruled out through injury and Darren Moss has been ill this week and is likely to be replaced by Stephen Foster. Dario Gradi was nonplussed with his side's performance in the draw to Brighton last week and expects to make changes. "I said at the time I would make changes and I probably will," he confirmed to the club's website. "We will make one or two changes because I can do that with the squad I have. "The three lads who came off the bench on Saturday (Mark Rivers, Gary Roberts and Michael Higdon) have all given themselves a chance because they did what substitutes have to do and made a difference." Leicester are unlikely to have David Connolly at their disposal for the game, with the striker's thigh strain not easing. Stephen Hughes and Patrick Kisnorbo are ruled out and Patrick Gerrbrand, Mark De Vries and Paddy McCarthy are all rated as doubts. "Crewe try and play football all the time and they will pass the ball. If we allow them to do that then they are formidable at home," said manager Craig Levein. "One of our game plans must be to stop them playing and hopefully we can take control of the match from their."
