Geordies

They are surely the greatest race of people on this Earth. Everyone's so friendly and welcoming there (well, apart from the three nobbers who decided to throw a pint glass at us and the one nobber who decided to steal my beloved blue and yellow scarf from my back pocket after the game).

We got talking to a few Geordie lads in Pumphreys before the game and ended up having a few beers with them in there (where the regulars thought I was a cockney and couldn't believe that I was shocked by how cheap the beer was lol). After the pint glass incident these lads couldn't have been more apologetic and tooks us to City Vaults for another couple. Absolutely unbelievable place, strippers on at six in the evening and The Geordie Dancer doing his thing too!

Had a great night out afterwards as well, some guy made it his mission to be our personal tour guide for the evening.

Got chatting to a couple of canny lasses in the club too, although I've never found it so difficult to understand someone in my life (as I'm sure LCFC-ARAB will testify lol).

I think I'm in love with the city of Newcastle and its people. Geordies, I salute you!

I lost my voice, not from singing in the ground but from shouting 'I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE SAYING' in the birds ear about 200 times

awesome city!

lol

Resorting to Partridge quotes such as "something else in Geordie" and "sorry, that was just noise" in response to their uncouth ramblings was a highlight.

Adults were sound.

No end of 10 year olds outside the ground shouting "abuse" ...Pathetic.

I loved the place first time visiting but didn't feel any warmth this time.

Esp. when some nob let off a fire exhinguster in Subway and then one of them went to wind me up. So we just walked off whilst be harrassed by some nob for 50p toward his next hit. Although, I enjoyed the mosey around there today...I swear I was good 50% of the way to pulling a bird in Office today. Apparently my brother reckons when I am speaking to someone with a different accent, I completely lose my Leicester slang and start talking all profound.

I'm the complete opposite. If I'm chatting to someone from a different region I'm far more likely to diverge into a Harborian burr, especially after a couple of brewskis.

We were all putting on cockney accents at various points yesterday and none of us is quite sure why. Maybe a bizarre homage to Get Carter.
