It's a low risk move. Something Brighton, Forest and Palace have all done pretty well at. The latter two staying up in the process fielding these players.
So all of those players are established, high performing premier league players now?

We could just go to the source direct?
Ie. Pick a player direct from South America - Buonanotte's initial fee was just £5.3million supposedly.
Low wages, small fee, develop at our benefit
Which is far more risk. Bringing a player over to a new country and hoping they will cope in the premier league. As opposed to someone who is already accustomed to our league.

Developing Brighton's players.... Blah, blah, blah....
Have people forgotten that we were in the championship last season.
If this comes as a shock you've been living with your head in the sand. This is where we are at and this season is all about survival.
To add, we have money to spend but we are not going to risk blowing loads and being penalised again.

£7m is a tiny amount and has potential sell on value.
We're an absolute shambles
He's not good enough for the premier league. Unless we want to settle for mediocre.

That doesn't actually mean that he is going to Rennes.... Stop panicking!

He reminds me of a certain Algerian winger....
Looks class

He would be excellent for us. He's not a player for the future but he's the kind of player you need when you are up against it. He works incredibly hard, holds the ball up well and has a great attitude.

Most pitches are made up of synthetic materials to an extent.
Leicester use a hybrid pitch and have done for years , Part grass and part synthetic fibres.
About 3% synthetic fibres.

He's been at the wrong club to flourish. Cooper knows him from his England days and that's good enough for me.

Not fussed at all.
Perhaps because modern football is shit.
I personally would welcome someone old school.
Keeper kicks it long, big centre forward and pacy wingers.

Another waste of transfer fee and wages. Hope his contract isn't too long
If I told you he had a significant involvement in our promotion you'd disagree wouldn't you?

Simple... we have a world class coach. I really hope he stays and gets the players he wants. Time to turn the page of amateurism.
In summary, who are the key/top performers?

What's the latest with Leuven then? They seem to be picking up some good wins?
