The American government showing their famous poor grasp of irony by lecturing us about two-tier policing.

To be fair Brits for years perfected the art of slagging off other countries without knowing anything about them so it's quite funny now the UK is the target

I just want to make it absolutely clear, that in no way at all, did I just Google 'Cambrophobia'.

I didn't really think it through so it doesn't make sense as a response to Trav

I think this is a clear case of double standards.

Farage calls for rage = disgrace

Dylan Thomas calls for rage = classic literature

    It's just clear Cambrophobia.

Looks like Dave and his beer swilling flag waving Reform boys to me unless you see different with your rose tinted glasses?

was talking about comments you've made about other ethnic groups, though maybe I'm mistaking you with another poster

Gurudwara are quick to issue statements  and condemning  this horrible attack.

Hopefully  it stops Dave and his boys chucking bins and bricks at each other if the weather is good.

Is it going to stop you making generalizations about other groups or are you going to stick with Dave on that one?

Hard to not wonder what the publics and this forums reaction would be to this if the roles were reversed tbh. Hard to believe it wouldn't have had anything to do with race then.

The roles don't even need to be reversed, people who want to find racism will find racism.

Half the discourse around Southport was that it's racist to call a Rwandan Rwandan.

Don't see why those coppers shouldn't face charges on negligence. The fear of being called racist should not overrule your duty.

People of all skin types commit crime. Your duty is to prevent loss of life, in the moment. Even IF Harry was the attacker, how does leaving him visibly bleeding help your case against him? I'm sure a defence solicitor would have had a field day with that.

I was going to say. Haven't read much about the case outside of the main BBC report and I'm not going to watch the video so maybe I'm missing something, but even if he had attacked the other guy how the **** did they neglect to help him in that moment?

Any tips for Paris next weekend?

La Belle Hortense is one of my favourite bars, the bistro opposite also very good. One of those places you just keep ordering more courses and wine. In Le Marais.

Perraudin also a pretty good option for a restaurant that is relatively popular with tourists but still retains a quite authentic Parisian feel and has some very nice food.

The museums are obviously well known but Musee D'Orsay is incredible obviously. Sainte Chapelle is amazing but gets so busy. Would love to go in there one morning before it opens.

We usually stay in the 5th arrondissement which has some nice cafes, bars and restaurants away from the very touristy part of the Latin Quarter.

    It's a great city.
