All you appear to do is post on here. It will feel lonely sat in front of a pc.
If you spent the amount of time you do on here job hunting youd have found a job long ago.
Yep, if you're feeling shit then the worst thing you can do is read forums or facebook or comments sections of newspapers. Turn the PC off and go for a run.

Doesn't really grind my gears, more mildly irks me but..... saw a massive sign in King's Lynn today saying "now open six day's a week". I mean for fvck sake that is appalling.

It wasn't you that specifically motivated my comment, it is a regular occurrence though, when you are discussing something with someone and ask them a direct question and they ignore you, it is frustrating.
Maybe they've got work to do. Or they've gone on holiday. Or something else in their real life.

Daughter O/D'd and cut her wrists.
The joy of living on benefits.

Thank you and all the other well wishers. We're coping, just. She has been in hospital . Psych's are pretty useless at this stage to be honest.
I didn't read this at first, really horrible to hear. Wishing you all the best.

Chasing up people who owe me money and don't seem to want to pay, I feel like just jacking it all in sometimes.
Did you have two seasons at Portsmouth FC?

Met my nephew for the first time today, and went to sunny Hunstanton for the first time in years. So it's been a good day!

1.jpg reminds me of Cartier-Bresson's work. I love the mood a great photo. I wish you'd straighten building though, as an engineer it does my head in

Thanks man! He's my favourite photographer. I've noticed that literally all my photos are wonky, they go down hill from right to left. I have no idea why but it does my head in too.

I do hope those who watched University Challenge tonight got the Leicester City question right.....

Was searching through travel supermarket and those were the 2 we fancied most for the price. Just booked Rome, 5 days in October.
Autumn in Italy can't be beaten, you'll have a great time.

A slight deviation from the theme - what are you 'listening to' right now. A friend from Sofia just had one of his plays performed on Radio 4, 'Red Star Newport'. It's about a football club run as a co-operative. I even managed to persuade him to sneak in a little reference to Citeh (unfortunately it wasn't a very flattering one).
Only 45 minutes, if you're into that sort of thing...

Should have been renamed the pursuit of money.
Yeah I watched this for the first time two nights ago and all the way through I was expecting him not to get the job at the end and realise that true happiness comes from within bla bla bla. The ending basically puts forward the idea that money = happiness. I suppose it's quite refreshingly honest if a little obvious.

Yes, but rather hot. Down near the border with Greece.

The recent story of the Queen preparing a speech in the event of a nuclear war reminded me of this:

Had a touch of Lenin s revenge. This cheap Bulgarian lager finally got the better of me. There's been stuff leaving my bottom like starlings startled from a tree.
Get some of the Bulgarian yogurt. A bit of lactobacillus bulgaricus usually does the trick for me when I have a funny tummy.

Sticking my beer glass in the freezer for ten minutes before I crack open the can. Picked it up from a pizzeria I used to frequent in Sicily.

So I'll admit to being terrified of flying. How could you not be? You're in a metal tube at 30,000 feet going at 600mph. You have no idea what's going on. You have no control over the thing. I used to be fine but one day at the age of about 22 I was in the bog on a plane and thought about the wafer thin wall separating me and a load of sky.

The Beatles went from Love Me Do to Tomorrow Never Knows in less time than it took the Stone Roses to record a follow up album. In terms of such a diverse and brilliant output in such a short space of time, definitely the best band of all time.

That's like saying "Spain just won the World Cup, who cares which arbitrary set of borders they were born in".
It's nice and all, but I'd prefer for an English person to win it (being English myself). I'm not particularly excited about him winning it, in the same way that I don't support the Welsh football team. That being said, I'm glad he won it - he was clearly the better player, and deserved to win one, especially after coming so close last time. I just don't really see it as a "home" victory.
It's completely different, tennis is an individual sport. Only in the Davis Cup are they grouped by nation and Wimbledon is far more important.

The guy just won Wimbledon in straight sets against the world number 1, who cares within which arbitrary set of borders he was born.
