Foodies and their infestation of every discussion are the most boring human beings on the planet...slightly edging out "coffee heads"

Haha spot on. There's definitely a growing trend of people that have made 'liking coffee' their whole personality. That and smoking meat for 12 hours.

Maybe they're storing them there until the free collection is available.

I think if they'd only been there a few months I'd be inclined to agree, however some of these items of furniture have almost achieved listed status the length of time they've been there.

Which City is that? Leicestershire charge for bulk collections and charge for building waste and paint taken too local tips sites from domestic premises.

In Leicester City you get a free bulk collection, once every 2 or 3 months (I cant remember which) which is up to 5 large items each time.

I've used it myself a few times and it is really handy, then yes, any in between that you have to pay for.

Some of these houses that line the roads off Narborough Road with mattresses, armchairs and chest of drawers lining their front gardens would do well to be reminded by the council that it exists though.

  4. Had a few Modelos over in the US a few years ago and thought it was ok, but I have noticed it's getting a bit of a push over here now. Is it one of those that's made to look like a foreign import but it's actually just brewed over here now?

When someone puts in what sounded like an awful lot of time and effort to support a local charity that it then decided to ignore, then...  How can the charity be worth supporting?

EDIT: I remember the name of it now - it's called The Sunflower Album.

Have you ever thought that maybe they just don't have the time and manpower to try and 'sell some CD's', regardless of if they were given to them for free. Your "friends" heart was probably in the right place making a CD for charity but at the end of the day just because they couldn't/didn't sell any (and this is just to your knowledge by the way you've admitted you don't actually know if they did try) you've decided it's ok to come online to say a hospice that's close to the heart of a lot of Leicester people isn't worth supporting. Might be worth having a little word with yourself this evening.

I think Leicester are in a death spiral. We’re weeks since relegation and we’ve still no idea of what the club’s plans are for next season. No direction, no communication, nothing.

My guess is there’s a lot going on behind closed doors trying to sort out the wage bill. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re desperately trying to negotiate reductions, exits or contract terminations with some of the big earners – Winks, Choudhury, Vestergaard, Skipp and others. Add in the EFL financial rules and spending restrictions and it’s not difficult to figure we are some really deep 💩. Players are not going to accept reductions in their wages.

I remember Dennis Wise and his unpaid wages saga. Wise was an odious little man and at the time it felt like one of the worst periods being a Leicester fan. This has a very different feel to it, much worse and on a much bigger scale. I genuinely fear for the club’s future viability.

    King Power out!

This is what we expect them to be doing and also what they should be doing. However, would you be surprised if they actually weren't?

Everyone's probably got to wait until JR's had his summer holiday.

  7. I feel like Rudkin thinks he's on par with the players you know. Season ends and in his head he thinks that's it, works done until pre-season starts. I genuinely think he's goes on holiday when the players do and doesn't do any work until June now.

League are basically gifting Celtic the title. No away fans for Rangers in their game and then giving Celtic home advantage of the league leaders Hearts

Don't buy into this at all. Surely it would be better for the SPL if a team like Hearts won it. Might generate a bit more interest in the league other than the boring, predictable Celtic winning it every year.

It's incredible how people have long memories where they want and short memories where they want.

Succession phoenix clubs occur because simply the club has normally disappeared and there is a natural succession.

Any movement to create a second club now would be a split - you'd have the directors of LCFC with those who can't stand the thought of pulling themselves away from it and then those fans what believe a football clubs is a community (this is very sadly a dying minority).

I've racked my brains hard and long where the split originates in LCFC fans and I think I cracked it. The split is defined by those what think a football clubs is a community & everything has got lost in the modern era v those that are happy with the status quo of what football has become. The trophies won give the latter justification to be that way which is at odds with their earlier life. The game changed, they changed and they wouldn't want to admit they actually prefer it now. These scenes of toxicity are throughout LCFC and football's history. The boos and dis-satisfaction is football. It's just not the newly packaged, squeeze clean.

We are going to be the first club of many where by the new style fan outweighs the old style fan. Thatchers legacy finally fully flooded football clubs.

This post just gave me diabetes.

  10. Potentially one of the biggest summers in the history of this football club. Going down to League 1 for the second time in our history but this time with a real concern over the financial future of this club. Every decision in terms of finances, management, playing staff needs to be made correctly and timely to ensure we get straight back out of that league and plug the hole in our clubs finances.

I hope that our glorious owner is up and ready for that monumental task that now falls at his feet and that he's.........oh wait no, he's jumped on the first plane back to Thailand.

We’ve been nominated for a football business award for fan engagement for the “goodbye to the GOAT” lollol

Imogen will be getting an even bigger pay packet next season!

They will literally give out awards for anything these days.

Or is this one of those awards night things where you have to nominate yourself and then have to pay for a table on the evening to basically guarantee that you win the award? Quite a lot of these out there for each industry.

My point still stands mate. Booing one of our own players during the match didn’t help and won’t help in the future.

I don't really care if it helped or hindered him or the team. You can't get away with doing that, he deserved far worse than a few boos and to be honest got enough claps and cheers from our coward fans.

If we had won last night we wouldn’t be relegated yet. I get the numerous issues with Winks and after Saturday I was massively surprised he was in the squad and then surprised he was actually brought on despite Aribo being on the bench. That’s on our useless manager. But having brought him on, booing in game wasn’t ever going to help us win the 3 points that would’ve kept us interested. If we had won and Blackburn draw or lose tonight it could’ve been game on.

Booing Winks last night was never going to decide whether we won or lost. The guy gets paid £80-90k per week and he's told our fans to f**k off. What do you expect us to do?

Those clapping and cheering him should hang their heads in shame, not proper football fans, let alone Leicester fans.

Is Top honestly turning up tonight. 😂

Been missing for the best part of the season and decided to turn up to the one game I’d actually advise him not to go to.

Mind boggling. I hope he has a good time.

The sad thing is, he probably won't get any s**t knowing the majority of our fans

  15. I asked AI to summarise the article - makes for terrible reading.

    - Relegation to League One now appears almost inevitable and that creates a genuinely dangerous financial spiral — solidarity payments would drop to a fraction of current levels, the Macquarie debt still needs servicing, and the squad would likely need to be largely sold off.

    - The article's conclusion is essentially that without either a rapid return to the Premier League or a stabilisation of King Power's Thai business, Leicester risk a prolonged slide into the lower tiers where their current cost base and debt levels simply cannot be supported.

    - The one silver lining is that the squad's estimated market value (~£200m) exceeds its book value, giving them assets to sell. But selling your way out of trouble is a short-term fix, not a strategy.

I know it's never boring being a Leicester fan but we're genuinely looking at a situation where we might not have a club to be a fan of. This could be a text book example for future students on how not to run a business.

done. but survey is waaay too long which will restict the number of replies

If you care about getting your opinion across about the club in a survey  with results that will be published and sent to the club, then it really isn't waaay too long. It took about 5 minutes.

If that's too long to put someone off then I would assume they are not that bothered about giving their opinion to the club.

  17. Might be unpopular as they seem to go down quite well on this forum but I can't stand the whole making up Leicester lyrics to songs. I've just saw one on Twitter where some guys made lyrics to Stan by Eminem about Harry Winks and it's proper cringy.

The ones that are intended to be funny, parody ones where they actually go through with the effort to make them (like on the BSLB's podcast) I've no problem with as they're actually quite funny. But it's all the others with the crappy lyrics to sad or slow songs that no one would ever sing where I'm thinking surely you've got better things to do with your time?

  18. I think it's probably currently right down the pecking order in terms of priorities but if we go down, which we likely will - we need to start cutting costs.

It's complete madness that we have that huge training complex at Seagrave and yet the Women's team have Belvoir Drive. It's a nice story to say our Women's team have their own dedicated training ground etc. but in reality it's absolutely bonkers that we're paying for two training grounds, when we literally have one of the biggest and also probably one of the top 5 training grounds in the whole country where they could easily be accommodated.

Sell Belvoir Drive to some property developers as soon as possible.

  19. Out of interest I asked AI to predict the teams that will make up League One next season based on the current table standings and fixtures left and as you can guess, we're basically down.

An absolute joke that this is actually what is happening to us but the writing has been on the wall that we were going to be in trouble this season as soon as the first ball was kicked - I just thought we'd have enough competence to right the ship at the right times but on and off the pitch we've been woeful.

    To try and put some sort of positivity to it, there's some nice day trips out for the Coach 1 lot lol;

Did anybody hear our beloved goal keeper comment on RL about the plight that LCFC are in.

He remarked that everybody in the team are all in for the fight and are determined to improve the situation.

That there is togetherness in the squad and that they know they can improve.

I have never heard so much twoddle in my life. Do they think no one watches any of the matches.

Not a pop at JS but it's all of the players and all of the same, generic posts that have been churned out by the clubs social media and content teams since the end of last year.

'All in for the fight', 'need to improve', 'back to the drawing board', 'we all need to focus and regroup' etc etc.

They don't mean anything anymore and they're just paying lip service now.
