Has anyone else noticed that Leicestershire Live now has 'premium' articles for which if you want to read you have to pay £5 a month?
Yeah good luck with that one guys!
-
I say leave it with Kingy until the end of the season.
Main urgency and focus now should be on getting in the right staff above the manager in the next month, and let them be part of the selection process for the next manager.
Rushing to get someone in now while options are limited I can just see it going wrong and then us having to do it all again at the end of the season or early next season anyway.

Probably 4 or 5 years of questioning myself as to why we've managed to fail so badly as a club in pretty much every area we can.
5/10 minutes of this interview and it's literally a 'oh, ok that's why' reaction.

I don't get it. Southampton are in a really good place compared to us aren't they.

A lot of Cov fans at work saying this is our 'cup final' because they're top of the league and suddenly that means the last 20/30 years history means nothing.

If you were staying at the Belmont Hotel and needed to pick a restaurant for 6 people including 4 people in their early twenties, one of whom is an extremely picky eater, where would you choose? My husband and I will be over from Spain for the Charlton match with our daughter and her Charlton supporting boyfriend, and we will be meeting up with my son and his girlfriend to take them out for dinner, probably on the match day.
Staying at the Belmont and we will have a car but don't really want to drive when we're in the city already.
There must be loads of options but it's years since we've been into town, so I feel like I need some help!

I'd second this if you're still there on the Sunday. Had a great sunday roast in there a couple of months ago.

It's a shame that the Project Reset protest was a flash in the pan. It was successful in so far as gaining media traction and putting pressure on the board. I see that after Wolves fan's protests recently their Executive Chairman Jeff Shi stepped down. It does work.
It's true but the Wolves fans will likely all be on the same page with their protests.
Because of 2015/16 and the FA cup win, for at least probably half of our fanbase and most likely more, it does not matter how bad things get now, because KP were in charge for that they can basically do no wrong now. That's why protests here will never gain enough traction to be effective as there will always be naysayers and KP defenders telling us to be 'careful what we wish for', that we 'owe KP for what we achieved' or that 'we were in League One once'. I think we'd have to be languishing in League One again for half of them to wake up.

I feel like I'm going ****ing mad looking at this from that PDF - can someone confirm that this map is way off and that what they've highlighted as "King Power Stadium" is just that housing / office block off Bede Park? The King Power should be off to the bottom right of this, surely? Am I being thick?
The picture of the Leicester Royal Infirmary on Page 17 looks good as well. Been a while since I've been but it's changed a lot in that time.

Bit early to moan about Xmas I think
Some of the shops are taking the mick this year though. I went in Home Bargains and they had loads of Christmas stuff in, but the store manager told me it was for Christmas next year! and that they're just trying to get ahead.

I know it's not a game you play on console it's a PC game, but anyway I was bored yesterday so I downloaded it to my xbox gave it a go. I had a bad feeling at the manager 'creation' screen which looks like it's gone backwards tbh. Then I got about 45 minutes in to the game, I'd started sorting out the squad and staff and then it just inexplicably had an 'error' when I clicked continue and it closed itself down. When I rebooted the save file went back to the beginning of the season. Turned it off and won't bother again. I'm hoping the PC version isn't as much of a sh**show.

This guy is not a striker. I don't know what position he could/should play but he's not a striker.

A documentary about hard hitting policing on the frontline in our nation's capital. Give it a watch, The Bill it's called
The victims of the Sun Hill fire in 2002 will never be forgotten
Cheers, just had flash backs of PC Dave Quinnan getting absolutely battered by the local youths. The documentary team just sat back and did nothing - sickening.

Does anyone know if this will make general sale? Hoping it doesn't sell out before.
In all seriousness, how strapped for cash are we as a club if we're actually charging people to go and watch something like this? I love Abdul but come on. Like someone said it will be on the YouTube channel a week after.

Polish, Bulgarians, Romanians etc..white people are welcomed with open arms and live in their ghettos on Evington Rd and Narborough Rd and Humberstone Rd near town and it's all good...NOT about colour is it!!🙄🙄
What would the reformers be saying if the boat people were swedish blonde and blue eyed I wonder???
I drove down Narborough Road yesterday and I think if you take the time looking at the shops, restaurants and clientele you'll see it's a mix of pretty much every culture going. However one thing I will say is the place is an absolute state, pretty much from the bridge just past KFC, all the way to the large Tesco. There's litter everywhere, shops and houses just dump bin bags and cardboard boxes out on the street. There was a butchers down as you get closer to Braunstone Gate and one of the butchers was sat on a chair outside, smoking, all whilst still in his butchers 'whites' - the whole place is disgusting.
You look at some of the buildings and houses on that road, particularly up near the Iceland and the side streets there, and they're lovely big houses. You can see that at one point in time it was probably a grand area to live in that had a bit of prestige about it but nowadays its just lots of overcrowded HMO's full of people who don't care what their area looks like and are happy dumping a fridge, mattress or sofa out on the street.

What do you guys think about the Xbox Gamepass price hike? I must say I'm really disappointed, this is a 53.33% increase for us in UK. It's not 30 dollars like in US but at £22.99 it's still high for a subscription service for games we don't actually own. I knew the videogaming industry was heading there and we're currently getting ripped left and right in prices everywhere, supermarkets, energy etc.
I'm debating on the matter, as a family with 3 children that use the service frequently even the price hike will not actually affect us as we all make some heavy use of it (actual service and xcloud). I've made already my calculations but in the end it's the moral/ethical side of it. Even if it's still affordable for me income wise I don't want to reward this kind of behaviour by corporations.
So the last £15 payment comes out (for me) at the end of this month and then I read that as of November 4th the new prices are in place. I am cancelling at the end of this month and then will see how much it's missed for the first few months at the very least.
I am in the same boat as you - it's not unaffordable and the kids use it, but it's the principle of such a massive hike, not that long after we had a price rise before. We have games we've bought that don't get played so that's what will be played.

Looks like I will be cancelling my gamepass subscription renewal and selling my Xbox when it runs out with the new gamepass prices
How long do we think it will be before this is rolled out in the UK?
The concept of Game Pass is something I used to dream about as a kid and something I've felt has been good value for money for a few years. However it seems, especially in the last 24-months, that the price has constantly crept up and with time and opportunity to play (for me) starting to dwindle, I can't justify those prices and I don't think I'd downgrade to the lower packages as I guarantee half the games I'd want to play won't be included.
I think it's back to focusing on one game when I get the chance to play and/or replaying older games. Could be a massive backfire for Microsoft this one.

The new Champions League format is shit. People are wetting themselves because big clubs are playing eachother in meaningless games.
You can have too much of a good thing. They’ll all make it into the top 24 and none of this will
mean anything. There’s little to no jeopardy.
Completely agree, just killed any excitement or passion for Tuesday/Wednesday nights.
A league table where half of the teams never play each other is just wrong. I get it, but it's wrong and doesn't mean anything. At least in the old 4-team group format there was some jeopardy in pretty much every game.

Ayew is an absolute slob, said it was a sign of the impending downfall of the club when we signed him and that performance was up there with some of those put in by Junior Lewis, Robbie Neilson and Soumare v Blackburn in the cup.
Should never play for us again but with just him and Daka, one of the clowns will inevitably have to start.
