Russell Martin had a 1.4 points per game average over his managerial career.
so 64 points per season average (46 games), so basically a 10th place finish.
This is such an uninspiring appointment, but with the idiots that run the club, it’s only to be expected.

Fuchs was a Pearson and Walsh signing, prior to them being sacked.
They obviously viewed him as the right character, and that he had the right ability to add to the squad back then.
We have seen his leadership and character over the years, to know that those key aspects are needed to manage our club, especially with how it is being mismanaged by the board.
does he have enough experience?, probably not, but it is about the same amount of experience that Pearson had as a manager before we appointed him.
I am all for giving him the chance, if he is the right person that is in the running for the job and actually wants it.

He has been poor for a long while now but in his defence, there generally isn’t a forward getting in the right areas for a cross (certainly not a capable one) this season.

Usual display since just over half way through his reign.
Totally agree, I meant to put the back end of his reign

The usual display since the end of Maresca’s reign.
inept, turgid and spineless.

Daka and okoli are stealing a living as footballers

He looks the real deal, very impressed.
he always shows for the ball and he carries the ball well.
him, Mukasa and James would compliment each other well, when in possession of the ball.

Inevitable….. we are a shambles of a club, run by inept imbeciles.

Daka played well yesterday whether we like it or not.
Hopefully he gets a consistent run in the side and finds his shooting boots too after about 6 years. I’m starting to think there’s a player in there somewhere
Yeah alright Brendan

I think he could be decent, i agree with those who say that it’s too early to write him off, he’s just settling into a new country with the best 2nd tier division in the world (I believe), and with the busiest league schedule.
he has come to us late, with international breaks breaking up the settling in period of getting to know players and how others play.
If he had been here for pre-season I am sure he’d be a lot sharper and his performance would have been better so far.

He is a hybrid of Lennon and muzzy combined, in their early years.
Wanted him for a few season now and this just proves the types of not only players but characters, that we desperately need at the club.

If he can press, he will be better than Ayew, and if he can stay on his feet, he will be better than Daka…. So the bar is pretty low for him to be a success here.
in some of the clips from him playing in the MLS, I was quite impressed at how he has very few touches before getting his shots off, the defending though was terrible.

Think he will be my favourite ever JJ to play for us and surpass Jason Jarrett’s spell at the club.
on a serious note, he was very impressive a couple of years back and could be a fantastic signing.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that as most goals come from crosses below waist height (this is where you quote stats to disprove
). Other than corners or set pieces where headed goals most often come from centre-backs.
I agree with you but unfortunately as fats and stephy play on the opposite wings to
their strongest foot, they are more inswinging crosses that they provide unless they beat their man to the line and cut across them.

Looking at some players with a year left on their deals.
Young 21 year old attacking 8 / 10 struggling to break through at Villarreal

Versatile 10/ Winger type, almost 21 at Anderlecht
https://fbref.com/en/players/f4adf2cd/scout/12507/Mario-Stroeykens-Scouting-Report
Not had a kick for the last few years at Leipzig (injuries perhaps?) and wages maybe a concern for a 27 year old but Xaver Schlager is the sort of profile we need.

Can't believe Mainz aren't starting him, has a year left and he starred in the U21 Euros, maybe he'd have other suitors but we must try.
https://fbref.com/en/players/231c67ff/Nelson-Weiper
Wages an issue perhaps but Lokonga we could do worse than, try him on loan first perhaps.
https://fbref.com/en/players/1b4f1169/scout/12192/Albert-Sambi-Lokonga-Scouting-Report
Not played for Sunderland so far this season (injured?) but had great season last year, seemingly, and we do need a long term LB
https://fbref.com/en/players/307ea3b6/Dennis-Cirkin
Young Senegalese CB that profiles incredibly well in Ligue 1, touch short maybe
https://fbref.com/en/players/17bb562c/Arouna-Sangante
Ben Sheaf has only played 7 minutes this season. We should be all over this
https://fbref.com/en/players/7b4a62af/Ben-Sheaf
Boadu was electric on loan for a shit Bochum team last season - would be a hell of a coup, should be all over this
Some good suggestions there, Boadu and Sheaf especially.

Fine... no worries. Personally I just don't like the idea of racists playing for the club no matter how good they are at kicking a ball. But no worries.
Regarding skipp, im just sick to death of him. Obviously i don't wish him harm, just hope we sell him for a reasonable fee!
Fair enough mate, let’s call it a truce 🤝

I am anti the racists and rapists.... if that makes me Hitler fine!
I stand by my Skipp comments 😄
I’m anti rapists and anti racism too mate, but my comment of saying that osmajic would be a good player to have at the club (didn’t say he was a good person) but you made out I support his behaviour by buying a shirt with his name on the back.
I feel that it is poor that you stand by your Skipp comment of saying that even him being involved in a war, was too good for him, but you own them comments if it makes you feel good mate.

Jeez…. Guess who would be first getting a germany shirt with hitler on the back, I am assuming you are a fan after you posted that, you would send skipp to a world war but a world war would be too good for him.

He received an 8 game ban for biting & was accused of racism in March. No thanks.
Of course he shouldn’t have done those things, but Luis Suarez did the same, are you saying you wouldn’t have accepted him here, if we were to sign him when he was good?
