  1. Well he's here now, so may as well get behind him. There needs to be some serious incomings and outgoings now, we've got the manager situation sorted, we literally can't afford to hang around. Need to give him a squad that can get us out of this league, and if he truly wants a cultural reset then there are about 5-10 players who need to be bombed out before the players return for pre-season.

  2. It's got his wife on it so it will defo be shit anyway, but the main problem with Vardy is that he's v funny when he's not trying to be, but when he's trying to get a laugh in front of the camera he's just cringey. Like when he just happened to get his giant cock shaped bottle opener out on the Netflix doc - sidesplitting stuff.

  3. Frankly, if the alternative is employing another Enzo/Pep-ball fanatic who is obsessed with passing around the back and buying a squad of players who fit that brief, probably at exorbitant cost & wages, then I think actually I would rather we just take a gamble on Christian Fuchs. League One is not the place for this bullshit. Much more important we get a motivator and someone who can reset standards at the club IMO, Fuchs appears to have done that in spades at Newport.

  4. I think there will be plenty of Championship clubs interested in him, but if Eckert gets the boot over the spygate stuff, we should definitely move heaven and earth to try and get him.

Also hearing Robins is on the verge of being sacked? Again, I'm sure there'll be Championship interest, and I'm not certain if he'd actually want to drop down to League 1. But surely you have to ask the question?

Have a word chap. He is probably the greatest manager the PL has ever seen. Oh trophies speak for themselves too.

He's certainly won pretty much everything going, but there is definitely a question as to whether they have done that legally and played by the rules to achieve that in the first place - obviously that has very little to do with Guardiola himself. Secondly, while I wholeheartedly agree that his style of football is extremely effective, I'd argue that it's probably had a negative effect on the game overall in the last ten years or so. His tactics win games and trophies, but I don't think his brand of football is particularly exciting to watch for the most part.

Also, the proliferation of teams trying to employ those ponderous possession based tactics means that football generally is more boring now - we saw it under Enzo, we won so many games, but were they that good  to watch? You get a lot of managers it doing it badly as well - see Russell Martin. I think the widespread adoption of his style of football has taken a lot of the unpredictability out of football, flair players like we saw back in the late 90s / 00s are basically non-existent because unpredictable wingers and attacking midfielders don't fit 'the system'.

Probably could have done with being a series.
he matured as a player a lot after 15/16 and this doc just didn’t have time to go there and do him justice in that regard

almost like they ran out of money and time !

Tbh, it's probably been released to coincide with ten years since the title win - sadly there are very few people outside of us Leicester fans who are interested in what we've been up to since then.

    Why?

Presumably costs quite a lot of money to fly players out to Europe for a training camp, accommodate them, feed them - when we're supposed to have world class training facilities at home. I doubt many other League One teams will be doing it, and we're surely at the point where we need to make savings wherever possible.

As far as I can tell, he can still technically sign for another club before he turns 17. I imagine we'd be lucky to get 1-2 million in that case.

For our sake, hopefully he at least reaches 17 and is registered as a pro with us before any move.

He's 17 on July 10th - I imagine the club will hold off on any sale before that date. At that point he turns professional - part of the contract he already signed last summer.

A competent club would hope to bed-in a good young striker and progress to the championship full of confidence.
But that’s a competent club, so depends what the options are.

2 up top with Vardy playing alongside a young prospect would be nice.

If we were able to sign someone like Lorent Tolaj or Dom Ballard, then it would surely only be beneficial to have them learn from the likes of Jamie Vardy for one season. He'd also be a great mentor for someone like Jake Evans too. I don't think he would be the first name on the teamsheet, but he'd be very good to have around.

  10. It's been mentioned in the Goodbye Vardy thread, but I thought it would be worth running a poll to see what the opinions are of people on this forum as to whether Vardy should return for one last season in L1.

Would it tarnish his reputation? Would he still be an effective option for us? Would he help to restore some of the standards around the first-team squad?

  11. Am I the only one who thinks this would be a good signing? Free transfer, experienced, relatively low wages. We're going to be basically building a squad from scratch. Yeah, we need to invest in players, but we're also going to need bodies through the door that are not going to cost us a load of money? Wednesday want to keep him, there are Championship clubs that are also interested in him - I don't think this is one that we can really afford to turn our nose up at?

  12. "Scouts from Leicester, Barnsley, Oxford United, and even Doncaster manager Grant McCann, watched Abdul Abdulmalik, a Boreham Wood player and, in my opinion, the best player in the National League, live yesterday. He lost the final yesterday, but he's going to play in the EFL."

That new DOF came in around March. We were relegated 2 games before the end of the season. It’s now 1 week post final game of the season,

If you’re a proper club, at the very least an announcement is made on Rowett.

This man will leave us at our lowest ever level and on our knees. In the summer of 2023 when I said I fear where this ***** will leave us. Was challenged by some dickhead on here. Wonder if he has the balls to speak up now.

This club is over for many years now. You don’t come back easily from this level of damage.

Yes, this clearly shows that Rowett is still in the mix for next season because if he wasn't, then they could have just sacked him and announced that they were looking for a new manager.
