  1. No apology necessary, let's get on with the quiz.
  2. Cheers Ric, I meant the actual presentation from Jack on why we were definitely getting relegated. I get it was meant to be tongue in cheek, just found it a bit grating. No issues from me re your connection and like I said I am enjoying it generally.
  3. I assumed the name was ironic however I don't think they have had a single female voice on so maybe not... Apart from a few things (like the 'presentation' in the last ep which was basically unlistenable) I am generally enjoying it though.
  4. 1 x ticket for sale for Bournemouth H1. £25. Can meet at the ground

  6. Agreed. I've seen them live 6 times, and it's a mark of how good they are that, each time I've seen them, there's always been someone disappointed at a tune they've left out - they have such a huge back catalogue. In fact, it's a mark of how good they are that The Masterplan album (Acquiesce, Masterplan, Talk Tonight, Rocking Chair, Half The World Away etc.) is a collection of B-sides. Every time I think about that, it blows my mind. Any other band would have that album as their high watermark. For Oasis, it was their cast-offs.
  7. All about this at the moment. One of the 20th Century's lesser-known presidents was actually fairly a hero, who offers lessons for our own time. "The Government can supply no substitute for enterprise." Etc.
  8. The Government cannot "squash" it, Lee.... Currencies that aren't issued by a central bank and which don't have a value that is set by Governments (or their central banks) are the future. Currencies like bitcoin are the future. However, I didn't invest in Bitcoin when I first heard about it because I believed then, as I believe now, that such currencies are (at the moment) subject to too many risks (e.g "mining", fraud, a massive drop in value etc.) Essentially, Bitcoin is a bubble. It is a hugely volatile bubble. All bubbles burst. Stay away for now. I still believe that, eventually, we will see an end to a World dominated by fiat currencies like Sterling and Dollar and will instead have more currencies whose value are set by the market (like bitcoin). It's just a matter of when.
  9. Average for a Friday. Now let the fun begin
  10. Season ticket is a killer at about £380 a month you're right, but mine and the missus 1/2 monthly rent on our 2-bed flat in Chelmsford costs £380 a month too. So it still works out about £2 or £3 grand a year cheaper than most of my London-based mates who pay £1k+ a month, without counting cost of living (i.e. drinking). Still, we live in Chelmsford...so I guess every silver lining has a cloud..!
  11. The Barrowboy and Banker near London Bridge is also worth a visit.
  12. What's all this "zone" malarkey? I commute to Liverpool Street from Chelmsford (think that's zone 25). 40 minutes overground and a 5 minute walk to work and save a packet on rent....just have to put with the joys of Network Rail. If I get out of work on time, I'll probs go to the Railway Tavern opposite Liverpool Street tube. If I'm chained to my desk 'til late , it's being Sky+'d so I'll watch it in the early hours at home (and try not to find out the score in the meantime)
