We can’t really set expectations until deep into the window.
There’s a huge turnover of players required and it remains to be seen if we’ll be able to shift who we need to, whether we even have money to reinvest in replacements and if we’re going to target new types of signings or stick with the same agent driven ‘strategy’
You're taking sense but unfortunately it's all utterly irrelevant. Club of our size should never be in this league, let alone in the circumstances it's happened. Whoever's in charge has to get us up, it's just that with Martin, he's going to get absolutely no slack

Title is expectation, whilst blooding youth.
Yep. So expectation is near perfection. Not sure he realises just how it's going to be yet. Drops any points in the first 10 games and he'll be getting dogs abuse

Davey a bit loose but then a great ball to get Elgar. Still enough randomness in the pitch

Questioned his ability at this level but the bits I saw, he was quality. Perfectly paced. Given us a chance

Gumbs looks like he's got something about him. Great temperament. And although he didn't tear it up, Rehan was looking decent so it's frustrating that he wasn't able to stay and play more 4 day cricket to make him a clearer choice for this test in place of Stokes, by getting some runs.

Kelly looks a player at least. That Davey dismissal is as poor as I can remember.

That'll be it now. So hard for his family to watch again. Needs to look after himself.
Obviously the main thing is that he's ok but it's so incredibly selfish that he even came back to play. Same with Tom Lockyer. It's cruel that your career has been taken away from you but they're clearly not thinking of their family/teammates etc when they step back out there. Particularly in Eriksen's case as he's absolutely set for life financially (and will get so many opportunities the average personal wouldn't).

I don't think anyone 'hates on him' for being crap, it just becomes another reason to dislike him. The 'hate' comes from the fact that he's been a disgrace in terms of behaviour (more than once) on and off the pitch yet is held up by the club as a beacon of leadership, all whilst being paid about 5-10 times more than he should ever have earned. Then the fact he's crap just exacerbates it.
Oh, and he doesn't actually work that hard. Has a 5 minute spell where he charges around then he jogs around, constantly switching off for the next 20 mins.
I cannot think of a player who's worse example of how this club has operated in the past 5 years.

Perhaps would mean something if you weren't in the ear of every cluster fvck manager this season, whilst being just as bad when you got your own chance.
Yawn.
He's the only person who actually fronted up to how embarrassing we were at the time. You only have to look at his ideas in pre-season and when he had those games in terms of personnel to see that he clearly had very little influence with the other managers.
Same thing happened with the likes of Sadler and Stowell, where people massively overinflate their influence. If we had anyone in the backroom staff with that much power, from a time when we were successful, I doubt we'd be in the same sorry state we are

I’m sorry, you are comparing yourself and Harry Kane never winning the ballon d’or to Jeremy Monga playing 34 games before the age of 17, just so I’m clear. Just before my point needs further embellishment.
Excuse the tone.
Yep. It was obviously a very extreme exampl but the point was, that if you don't apply any context to anything, you can make any claim valid/reasonable. If somebody didn't know anything about football but you told them what the ballon d'Or is, then gave them 2 names and said they'd both won it the same amount of times, why an earth would they think one person is a better footballer than the other? They wouldn't because they'd have absolute none of the correct context to make that decision. It's a ridiculous claim but they could only dispute it by pure luck.
The number of games Monga played, and Page to a lesser extent (Aluko just a bad call) would probably look great on it's own to a non Leicester fan or in other seasons. But apply a bit of context and it's painfully clear their opportunities/game time has been poor in the circumstances.
End of the day, you didn't owe me a reply and it's totally fair if you just wanted to ignore the post, but if you're going to do so and make a counter claim, at least acknowledge or respond to the 'evidence' I presented. Otherwise it's not much more worthwhile than me letting every know that Harry Kane and I are going head to head for the ballon d'Or later this year

Monga alone has 34 appearances he’s 16Yep. I've also won the ballon d'Or the same amount of times as Harry Kane so I guess we're equally as good at football? Obviously not hence the need for context
So when you put it against the context that I provided above and you randomly ignored, Monga played about 20% of the minutes he was available, for so a complete bit part player when he should have been starting a lot of games.

You can’t play 3 or 4 15/16 year olds in the first team. You need proper rules that prohibit this robbery of talent, or at the very least get good fees. I may have missed it but have we had a fee off them for the other kid who has had no better a pathway than we would have given him?
Has had a much better pathway than we'd have given him. Just look at the amount of games we've given to teenagers over recent years (probably a lot longer), and compare it to how much he's been involved. Better than almost anyone we've had, Monga and Page aside. And that's whilst playing for PL champions and being surrounded by world class players so he's developing better. His career is in a much better place being a bit part player for Liverpool than doing the same for Leicester. If we'd shown that we can make these youngsters key members of the team, then that might not be the case but if things go wrong for him at Liverpool, he'll still get a decent move. Go wrong for him here and he's done.

Our club is horrible but you can't pin not playing a 15 year old kid in the first team as a creadible reason for backing up that statement, Page Aluko Monga and Thomas have all had a decent minutes this season.
Forgive the tone, but is this serious?
Page was dropped straight after signing his new contract (actually don't think he was ready at that point). He then did come back and looked so much more ready in terms of the physicality and pace of the game, and actually stood out, yet he's then immediately turfed out. barely to be seen. Worse was that it was for a player who didn't want to be here. Awful management.
Aluko barely played. Lack of decent options at full back and those who had played were absolutely shocking all season long. Finally drafted in for probably the hardest game all season, gets sent off and then barely seen again. Awful management.
Monga plays in a position(s) where there has basically been a starting player and that's it. One of those was bailing us out for the first half of the season, then very poor after that so there's at least a reason why he wasn't played. The other one, has delivered what was categorically, the worst season from an attacking player I've ever seen yet was absolutely undroppable. Monga never got any run of games of even given the chance yet their numbers are pretty close despite him having a fraction of Mavididi's minutes. He's sat rotting on the bench time after time when we needed to change the game. His confidence and value has tanked as a result. Awful management.
Assuming you meant Silko, he's played probably more than he deserved so certainly can't accuse him of bot getting a chance
All in all, the opportunity wasn't just there, it was absolutely necessary for the team that these guys were at least given a decent run at it, and they simply weren't. Not that I'm disagreeing re Motsi, but we have always been, and probably already will be, the absolute pits at giving young players a chance.

You’ll find recently retired professionals won’t think that way. They still want to win. On both sides.
So these guys must be way more professional than most players, as in the legendary footballers, given these games normally end in with lots of goals. Interesting.

It is and it isn't. It means it was semi-competitive rather than one of these 6-6 games you get.
But you want to see lots of goals and playing enjoying themselves. 0-0 tells you they took it way too seriously and had no quality to go with it.
Somebody said it was bringing back the memories so I flicked it on for a few mins. Quality was absolutely abject (and we've got a good reference point for that!)

Christ that's shocking.
Honestly feel they should have saved this for closer to pre season. Get WC done, show change of direction and have some players available to come down. Do it July when the kids are just finishing and get a load of freebies to the schools.
A better idea. Or maybe they could have even decided to announce this game several months before they actually did. I know that's a bit out there as they only had 10 years to think about it.
In all seriousness, when you've got certain publicly players saying that the club hasn't told them if they have if anything planned, that's embarrassing. They left it way too late anyway, let alone considering the doom and gloom around the place by the time they announced the game. Even for this club, that's embarrassingly bad.
And then the actual lineup is without the 3 genuine world class players in that team, and the next closest player to that grouping, even if slightly out of their control in Kasper's case with his injury. But as you say, had they changed the timing of it, you might have been able to get Kante and Mahrez. Ended up with guys who were not part of that title win/not even very liked by fans (St Ledger for example)
Then the final major flaw, was the team they were up against. Not expecting the best players of all time but crazy that they didn't at least get some stars in there. A bit harsh, but it was a bunch of the most no name/uninspiring players imaginable. The fact an exhibition game ended 0-0, shows you how embarrassing it all was.

Put himself ahead of our Champions League push, met with Chelsea on a sick day off whilst with us, bragged about it in the dressing room, couldn’t understand why the other players didn’t appreciate it then went into self preservation mode until end of season, and went from being very good / excellent to Luke warm - anonymous.. In the post cup final league game targeted Ricardo’s knee having been around throughout Ricardo’s recovery previously.
He’s a grade A bell.
Loads of that is complete hearsay, unless you were there for most of those incidents? The fact you think I guy that was afraid to take a throw in at Millwall transformed into a thug wanting to injury an ex teammate is something.
I am mates with somebody who used to work as one of the player liaisons for England (mainly the youth teams), and unprompted, he told me that Chilwell was probably the most polite/respectful player he'd ever dealt with. But even that is hearsay and of course it doesn't mean he didn't turn into a bell end.
I don't doubt he met with Chelsea and engineered the move but the way you're describing it sounds laughably stupid (and he's not that thick). End of the day, he had stagnated and we got £50m for him so probably a good thing he wanted to move on isn't it?

He celebrated a last minute 'equalizer' in an FA Cup final after taking loads of abuse from our fans and yet people cry about that. Would have been absolutely bizarre if he hadn't gone mental. Probably need thicker skin

He's obviously done well in the 4 day, but even there he's been guilty at times of not being able to put his foot on the gas. All in all, it looks like the team simply doesn't have that X factor, particularly with no Rehan, in all formats not just for the CC

Maybe they should use a new ad agency - WePromote or something.
Run a black beanie ad variation during the hottest time of the year (you can pause an ad at the click of a button) and with darts interest at an all time high over December to earlyJanuary we capitalise on it by... running ads in late January to February
Absolute gold. It all comes back to that magic A word; accountability. In that there simply isn't any, across the whole club/business. Imagine the marketing/sales heads are basically told you need to sell x amount of this and then make x number of posts relating to a particular thing and then just left to it. Nobody making sure they pivot as the needs/demand changes
