The first half was good quality, lots of interchanging of positions and first time passing, giving a good team the run around, with Mukasa looking very competent, so credit to the work they had done at the training ground. The saddest thing was that no-one was really surprised by the end, as confidence is so brittle right now. I didn’t feel there was any lack of effort, maybe fortitude and confidence yes, but I actually just felt sorry for them all at the end as they would have felt ten times worse than us.
