Newcastle (H) Sunday 12 December
The Reverend replied to Winchesterfox's topic in Ticket News and Travel
I’ve got 2 tickets in G1 and can no longer make it - £37 each face value but will do £70 for the pair -
I've got 100% completion on both RDR and Undead Nightmare. Both are superb in their own right - one of the best ever for me.

Saw 'The Road' tonight. I have read the book and thought it was superb, its well worth watching. Dont take the Mrs though...its far too depressing. But great nonetheless. 7/10

Wrong. Right. Its a very nice looking phone. Very nice. I have the G1 (the Hero's predecessor), had it about 13 months now and its served me very well. Android is an excellent UI, the capabilities are endless. It has a great market, with a lot of excellent free apps, and the paid ones arent too expensive either. My contracts due in May I think, and I will be going with o2 as I get 30% discount with them because of the company I work for, so it's looking like an IPhone, or a Blackberry. 5 months to decide. I'm not being funny mate, but didnt you have a Blackberry aswel and ended up hating that? Maybe you should just get a 3310 or something?

Walked out? I though IB was fantastic, i've got it on Blu Ray. Its a different Tarantino movie, a welcome change I thought. Anyone who walked out of that movie deserves to be shot. Only one i've not seen out of that lot is There Will Be Blood (which I really wanna see), and they are all great films. I agree with the Jessi James comments Finners. I thought that film was really good, for me Brad Pitt has become genuinely one of the best actors of his generation, and as Jesse, he was outstanding. Like you say, it was an odd feeling at the end (difficult to discuss without spoiling), so I wont!

YES! Awesome film! Just been to see Avatar - its an excellent piece of film, wasnt sure about the 3D though. First time i've done the 3D before, and I didnt really like it - it just isnt really realistic. It looks like its some kind of 3D beta than they are still working on, and in a few years time maybe it'll be proper - it just all looks like layers to me, set different distances back. Dont get me wrong its clever, but as it is now, it doesnt really do anything for me.

I downloaded it last night. I might watch it tonight, in the dark on my own. I am hardcore.
-
Same here. The bit at the end bit, my god, the screams in the crowd were just sickening.
-
I saw it last night. It was long, but I really enjoyed it. Very depressing aswel when you look at it in a 'real' perspective. Dont think the Mrs enjoyed it though
-
Inglorious Bastards, though obviously historically misleading, is very very entertaining. Really enjoyed it.
-
I'd be considering that if I had more funds available.

I thought Taken was brilliant aswel. The bit where Neeson talks to the gang-leader bloke - that has to be one of the coolest movie ''quotes'' of all time. Fantastic.

Lets look at the breakdown - 24 months = £35 p/month £840 total Phone cost = £340 £500 tariff - 12000 txts/14400 mins/unlimited 3G Internet - over 24 months £20 p/month 500 txts/600 mins/unlimited 3G internet So about £20 per month for 500 for the above. Bearing in mind my texts when I used to be on pay as you go cost 10p, that equates to £50 worth of texts, that's without even considering the minutes. Then you're obviously paying your £15 p/month for the phone. Seems like a decent deal to me. Dont forget insurance aswel. If you knacker the phone, you still have to pay for it if its not insured. That runs up to about £6 p/month aswel. Though I pay £40 p/month for 800 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet, with a Google G1 (same band as IPhone, highest) so I think i've got a better deal . Got mine within a few weeks of the G1 coming out aswel. Surprised by that.

Watchmen, directors cut on blu ray. Amazing. Just bought the novel on the strength of the film - its different to normal superhero films, great story, great characters. Fantastic.
-
I want the hero. Still got my G1, and will have for another 8 months (18 month contract), but might see if T-Mobile might give me a cheeky upgrade. I am paying top banana for it after all (got it when it first came out).
-
Watchmen. Ordered the Directors Cut version off ebay, not even gonna say what I payed for it Anyone seen it? Or seen the normal version? Obviously mines on blu ray
-
It's a really good OS for a phone, nice looking, simple to operate, clean. I dont know what its like to say Nokia's or Blackberrys whatever, but I realy like it. The Hero is so sleek looking, really really cool looking phone. Wish I could upgrade. T-mobile might be getting a cheeky call!

Ive got the first Android based HTC phone, the Google G1 , and I really like it. I've had it since it first came out in about November, and i've never had any issues. The new ones look amazing aswel.

This one's even quoting herself! Decent people like you you mean? So we've established its actually your kid. You've took the time to register on a site you're mates found to post a load of bollocks. Clearly your'e the one siting on your arse all day with a computer for company. -

I'm not a 'cronie' of this guy - I've never even spoke to him, nor do I know him. I dont care about other sites, I'm using this one and theres nothing untoward going on - just an uncle trying to innocently get his nephew atop the leaderboard. Who are you then? You've made the effort to track the guy down and you've found two websites hes posted on already - you cant just be a random neutral to the whole thing. Otherwise you have far too much time on your hands. -
