Dyche is a much better tactician than ‘our nige’

Maybe worth bringing in Nige to manage just for this one game. Nigel vs Dyche mark 5.

To be honest we are so awful at the moment, only one win in last six home games (vs. a second string Sheffield Utd team in the Cup) that we will get a pummelling all over the pitch by Burnley. We don't look up for it, they are and they are together with belief. Watch former players Wood and their Centre Back Mee score - it will be an absolute sickener I feel and a big wake up call for everyone

Where the fvck do I start with that shambles?

How can anybody defend this fraud of a manager, trying to change us for the better some say...absolute bollocks. First half was yet again boring, I must've yawned about thirty times. Second half was more entertaining only because the game got feisty.

Blame the ref, blame whoever, we deserved nothing today, Newcastle wanted it more and fully deserved the three points.

Drawing at home to Swansea, Stoke and Bournemouth, losing to Newcastle, that is laughable for a team trying to fight for a European place, seventh place...we don't deserve it.

Only positive for me today was Silva, few stray passes to begin with but he grew into the game and on the ball he dramatically improved.

I said the other week our home form must improve for Puel to stay, so far still no change, I'm really starting to lose patience.

You're frustrated as we all are. I think we have to give this guy a summer and then see where we are at the end of this year. I am not impressed so far but to be fair he hasn't had a summer to sort things out. There's potential in the side but we have not really showed it.

As others have said, Guardiola and Mourinho get a season to bed in and to give time for the seeds to grow. To be honest we are no better than we were with Shakespeare if you look at their respective games record so jury is out but they shouldn't come in to give a verdict just yet.

We dont deserve 7th really.  We’ve been shit since January.

Puel’s game relies on players being very comfortable on the ball with both feet and to move it quickly.  Morgan, Chilwell, Albrighton, Simpson and Okazaki just aren’t up to it.

We were bad today just as we were against every other struggling team we’ve played at home.  7th will be put to bed when Burnley beat us next week and we can all just allow the season to fizzle out.

I think we will get beat comprehensively by the Dychemen and that will be it. We've had more chances to grab that spot than is necessary and we've blown it each time. Next week will be a massive wake up for us, they will rail road us and score a few and we will draw a blank.

  4. Defensive mistakes apart we are just not threatening enough - especially at home. Our last performances at home are really poor; we lack penetration and we are too slow. Speed was our threat now we are the slowest attacking team in the prem and we are easy to play against - ask Swansea, Stoke, Bournemouth and Rafa.

This has all the ingredients to be a proper turgid game if we set up the same as we started yesterday. They will probably come and park the bus knowing a draw will be a decent result for them so I can see Diabate and Gray starting this in place of Shinji and Albrighton.

In order to maintain the width I would probably put Riyad behind Vardy as his tendency to drift in and take 100 touches for the first hour yesterday was painful to watch.

Agree about turgid. If we don't wake up from our customary slumber starts we may lose this. Last three at home have been poor, and we were poor for most of the Brighton game. Our difficulty has been breaking down teams that are below us in the league and then conceding sloppy goals, many from corners.

As to this game we could play Choudhry in the centre-mid, Iborra and Silva will not be able to perform the Ndidi role between them. Puel will definitely play Albrighton (as he's trusted) so not much change I believe. As to the Vardy support it could be any one from Gray, Okazaki, Diabete, Ihenacho. Using Gray may free Mahrez up a bit and that could be crucial trying to break down a black and white bus.

Yeah, he trod on his foot after he fell. The slo-mo only serves to make it look premeditated, when in reality it was a blink of an eyes. So often happens in replays and many people, refs included (and commentators especially), don't seem to understand this.

Great White Tark takes down some Italian Chiesa in the box.

  7. What hacks me off in modern football today is these stupid backheel flicks. I've noticed Sterling do it and now Lallana and nearly every time we cough up possession. We (Leciester) are also doing it too recently and worse exponents are Chilwell and Gray and we give up promising positions as a result. Often we then get horribly exposed with a counter-attack. Sorry for the rant guys ;-)

I'd start both Lingard and Sterling in Russia. They're a breath of fresh air.

Agree. All defences hate pace and these guys have it too. Sterling is 100% better this season and Lingard is keeping Alli out and deservedly so. These 2 and Vardy look a real threat. Only problem we have at mo is in defence; if Italy had been on song in front of goal we'd be losing by now. We are missing Maguire's calmness.
