Oh shut up. Leicestershire are and always have & will be a small county. We're performing well in the 4 day game with a very young squad. It's all kicking off behind the scenes, yes, but on the pitch we're not doing too badly considering the financial restraints & inexperience of a lot of our players. And have James Taylor, Claude Henderson & Paul Nixon had poor seasons? Nathan Buck? We have some strong foundations to do have a few good seasons, fingers crossed the off field issues are cleared up soon too.

Won by an innings and 60 runs. Jigar Naik taking 7 in the second innings, Claude 8 in the mate (6 in the first innings). Superb performance and to do it at The Oval will be a memorable occasion for many players I'm sure.

Made 479 in our first innings vs Surrey - day 3 today, got them all out for 236 - Claude taking 6 Really need to turn positions like this into convincing victories, so hope we can do so...Claude & Jigar to rip them up.

Well this week has been the only week he's made any runs for us.. The pitch was inspected by the ECB following the flurry of wickets and they judged it as 'above average' so we probably just batted like clowns. Along with that, conditions yesterday were perfect for pacey swing bowling, any batsmen's nightmare. Although I would only use the term 'batsmen' loosely as far as Leicestershire are concerned at the moment! Get du Toit involved in the 4 day game...he's had a couple of good knocks.

Good day for bowlers? Glamorgan all out for 166 Leicestershire 39-5!! Bloody hell, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory....again. We have a very long tail too...

Lost by 9 wickets to Glous today. Although Nicko did take his first ever wicket!

Woohoo - brilliant! He'll help us attract other players too I'm sure. Fingers crossed for a successful season!

They have been criticised for signing South Africans in recent years, but have also lost some of their best homegrown players - like Stuart Broad and Luke Wright - to counties who can offer more money. Didn't know that! This paragraph just makes me angry and upset. Hoggard would be a ridiculously wonderful signing.

Bottom of the league but only lost 2 games. Think it shows we lack that cutting edge. Our best performances have come when digging in tosave matches. Sadly, you don't get the bonus points you need for dogged second innings defences... On the whole though, despite finishing bottom, I think there have been lenty of encouraging signs from our young group and fingers crossed, we can push on to better things (realistic better things, that is, I do not expect to win much!!).
