Got a colonoscopy on Monday..........been doing alot of research but would be interested to know any advice/horror stories from anyone on here who has experienced the procedure and dosent mind sharing.

Had a couple, last one three years ago - didn't experience any problems, wouldn't worry if I had to have another.  Discomfort was minimal.

What a great man. And he was educated right here in Leicester.

Educated at Wyggeston Boys, my old school.  Similarity ends there.

  4. The culture.  This is driven by top management, if a culture of expected excellence and visible commitment to achieve that goal isn't forthcoming then poor attitudes can seep throughout the club.

Without management that will relentlessly pursue achievement, we are doomed to be average at best.

Turns out I have prostate cancer. Bit of a bummer but it is what it is. Gleason 3/4, so fairly early stage. I’m going for a relatively new tech treatment called Nano Knife which hopefully will avoid side effects and has a quite quick recovery. The cancerous areas of the prostate are zapped with electricity to kill it off leaving the rest.

The main risk is to the wallet as it isn’t covered by Medicare or private insurance yet and costs about AU$25k. The stats quoted are 97% successful for eradicating the existing cancer, but a 20% chance of return within 5 - 10 years. I will have to be regularly monitored (PSA, MRI and occasional biopsies), but if it does return it should be early stage and all treatment options are still available including repeat Nano Knife.

Big holiday pre-planned (nuclear winter permitting) so won’t be doing anything until June.

I have no medical knowledge but have a friend who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2019.  He goes for treatment on the tumour roughly every six months and this is keeping it in check.  I last saw him in January, he looks well and if I hadn't known I would never have guessed that he had cancer.  Good luck with your treatment.

I've had a small cyst/lump on the side of my neck for about a year now. It won't pop like a spot and it's been starting to aggrivate and annoy me more so I sent a photo of it to my GP and booked an appointment (4 week wait)

The GP had a look and said "It's probably benign but best you see the Dermatology department at the local hospital"

Just got the appointment through on the app from the Hospital saying "Urgent Suspected Cancer Referral" for Monday.

I love the NHS but lesser mortals might shit themselves a bit recieving that.

I've had spots, mostly pre-cancerous, removed at my local surgery's cryo clinic (which involves freezing them - not a painful exercise).  I've also had a referral to dermatology to deal with a cancerous area which appeared on my face and ear - I was prescribed a cream which was described as chemo in a tube which turned the cancerous cells black and caused them to die and drop off and be replaced by healthy ones.  I wasn't pretty for a while but the treatment was effective.  My mother had previously been diagnosed with skin cancer which she treated with make up for nearly a year before that was successfully treated.  So I've joined the ranks of many who have had successful treatment for pre-cancerous and cancerous growths.  Hopefully they can deal with your problem with just as much effectiveness.

I have a few spots and lumps so when I went to Dermatology I asked them to look at them all and was told that they were non life threatening signs of ageing which they couldn't do anything about.

To be honest the protest was as flaccid as the performance from the players. The Police escorting the march were laughing.

Respect to everyone that showed up but it’s clear the protesters are clearly in the minority. Many people turned their noses up or mocked the group. At one point an elderly in hospitality flipped off the protesters 🤣!

Too many people in Leicester live in the past. To quote the comment in Sky at the end “Leicester City are going from the impossible to the unthinkable!” But the fanbase as a totality will allow it to happen.

I find the lack of action more depressing than the team. I feel like as a society we have forgotten to fight back or to fight for what’s right. People are too easily placated.

At least there was a protest.  The impact may still be larger than the size of the protest, it was mentioned on the Sky match commentary which gives it exposure to a very wide audience.  I didn't hear any reference to the number attending.

If you love the club then you do what you can.  The problem I see with Top is that he professes to love the club, but he either can't or won't see that it is its management under his stewardship which has led us to the sad situation in which we find ourselves now.  If you truly love someone then you don't do them harm.

The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (also known as the Bonzo Dog Band or the Bonzo Dog Dada Band or the Bonzos) was created by a group of British art-school students in the 1960s. Combining elements of music hall, trad jazz and psychedelia with surreal humour and avant-garde art, the Bonzos came to public attention through appearances in the Beatles' 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour and the 1968 ITV comedy show Do Not Adjust Your Set.

The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band was named after a cartoon character named Bonzo the Dog. Bonzo was created in the 1920s by George Studdy and became very popular in Britain over the years.
After gaining popularity in England in the '60s, the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band was asked personally by Paul McCartney to be The Beatles' 1967 Magical Mystery Tour film. The Bonzos appear at the end of the movie to play their song "Death Cab for Cutie."
In 1968, the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band became the resident house band on the sketch comedy show Do Not Adjust Your Set. The show featured Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin, all of whom went on to form the comedy troupe Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Due to record label budget constraints, the band was only given two hours to record each song for their 1967 debut album Gorilla. As a result, the record famously boasts that it contains "some of the most deliberately inept jazz playing ever recorded."
In 1995, Vivian Stanshall, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist for Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, died in a tragic house fire. Stanshall's body was found after the fire in his North London flat was extinguished. Friends and family said that Stanshall regularly smoked and drank in bed and even occasionally lit his long red beard on fire.
In the '60s, they became notorious for combining comedic onstage antics with music in their live shows. Vocalist Vivian Stanshall used to perform stripteases, drummer Larry Smith would tap-dance, and multi-instrumentalist Roger Ruskin Spear would do a gag where his head eventually exploded.

I remember Do Not Adjust Your Set.  It introduced me to the Bonzos.  Many of the younger FT membership may never have heard of the programme, but it featured Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Eric Idle along with a young David Jason and Denise Coffey.  I think that anyone who likes Monty Pythons Flying Circus would appreciate some of the comedy so I'm including a link.  The Bonzos perform Jollity Farm in the Boxing Day Pilot.  Enjoy.
